Touchwood Fishing Charters, Gisborne, NZ Experience fishing the beautiful East Coast of Gisborne on our 12.5m vessel Touchwood. Charters available 7 days a week.

We have trip options to suit everyone, from an experienced angler to a complete novice. We offer 4, 5, 7, 10 hour and Game charters both as private and shared trips. Our skippers specialise in local knowledge finding you a catch to boast about. Our crew can help junior's through to intermediate & advanced angler's. We provide all the fishing gear, bait, ice, tea and coffee. We will bait your hooks

, take the fish off and fillet and skin all the fish caught. All you need to bring is yourself and your lunch.

UPCOMING JUMP ABOARD TRIP DATES

FULL DAY JUMP ABOARD: Sunday 28th June
7am to 5pm, $250 each.

SCHOOL HOURS COASTAL: Tuesday 2nd July
9am to 2pm, $150 each - get out and reenergise your wairua before the kids are home for the holidays.

FULL DAY JUMP ABOARD: Saturday 4th July
7am to 2pm, $250 each.

7 HOUR JUMP ABOARD:
Sunday 5th July
8am to 3pm, $200 each.

SCHOOL HOLIDAYS:
We have a bunch of trips scheduled for the July School Holidays. The July trip calander is pinned to the top of our page, and on our website, just hit the booking button to see the dates.

FATHERS DAY:
Is not too far away - get in early and grab dad a voucher or book him a spot on our Full Day Jump Aboard on Sunday the 6th of September, Fathers Day.

SBT GAME FISHING TRIP:
Bluefin Tuna are here with plenty being caught already.
We have 3 Saturdays and a Sunday available in July at this stage for a game trip. If you are interested in joining a group, great, the sooner you let us know the sooner we can co-ordinate a suitable date for those keen.
We have dates available during the week and a few weekend dates if you are keen to book a private charter for any of our trip options.
It's a great time to take the crew out, a reward for their hardwork, no need to save that for the end of year.

She was a bit of a rough ride out today, conditions did not settle near as early as forecast. But we all pushed through and were rewarded with some lovely snapper, fat tarakihi, kahawai and gurnard. Such a great group from the Cossy Motorcycle Club on board today, thank you for the laughs.
The dolphins came by and kept us quite entertained watch them feed, leap and swim under the boat. Vids in comments.

Congratulations to all the lucky anglers who have already bagged a Bluefin Tuna 🎣. It has certainly been a great start to the SBT season !!
We can't wait to get the lures out and chase the big ones ourselves!
If you are keen to bag your own "Big Boy" let us know!!
We offer two options, shared Jump Aboard, where you join a group. Or you can get your own group together and hire the whole boat for a Private Game Fish.
We are limited to SIX Anglers on our Game Jump Aboards, so that everyone has a rod to man, and a maximum of TEN Anglers on our Private Game trips.
Get a group of mates together!! Or perhaps your work crew? 🐟 🐟 🐟 What a fantastic way to reward the team for it's hard work, and book a charter with Touchwood!!
Spend the day in good company, listening to good sounds, cruising the ocean, relaxing on the bean bags with a cold one or two, while you wait for that first strike and then the reels start screaming!!
Touchwood Game Fishing Charters depart from the marina at 6am and return around 5pm.
We have plenty of week day dates available now, or if you prefer a weekend then book NOW to secure your spot for JULY!!
Our Game Jump Aboards are $500 per person, maximum of 6 Anglers
A Private Game trip is $3000, maximum of 10 Anglers.

Well I would be lying if I said fishing was easy today! Phew she was an exercise in patience for sure. The conditions were lovely, as was the company but the spiney dogs were not lovely. We decided we would try one last shot just out from Young Nicks and our patience was rewarded. Some lovely gurnard, kahawai and a couple of snapper finally decided to join the party. By the chatter on the radio it seems bottom fishing was tough out wide as well.
Thank you to todays crew for persisting with us.
We have a 7 hour jump aboard next Sunday, $200 per person, 9am to 4pm abd a School Hours Coastal on Thursday the 25th, $150 per person, 8am to 2pm. Next weeks forecast looks great so if your keen why not take your crew out, reward them for all of their hard work, why wait for xmas?

So nice to be out at sea again, it's been nearly 2 weeks. Great to get a full 10 hour Jump Aboard out today. Conditions weren't quite as nice as hoped before lunch and the fishing was okay. But after lunch the sun came out the sea settled and the fishing was on! So many nice snapper! Thank you to everyone who joined us today, your company was brilliant! We very much enjoyed our day!
Our next public trips are a 7 hour, $200 per person, Sunday the 21st, 9am to 4pm and a School Hours Coastal on Thursday the 25th, $150 per person, 9am to 2pm.
Plenty of Tuna being caught out there, let us know if you are keen to book a game fishing trip.

A great morning spent in the bay with a great family celebrating Huxley"s 10th Birthday! Fishing is still tough but we bagged a few nice snappers, a gurnard and caught lots of spiney dogs.
