The storm walloped Foxton MTB Trails.
Following massive storm destruction, Foxton MTB Trails @ Target Reserve will be closed until further notice.
The recent storm brought significant damage to the trails at Target Reserve with numerous trees down and trails closed. MMBC will contact Horowhenua District Council who will decide how to proceed.
This is devastating news not just to members who enjoy riding the trails, but particularly to the small, hard-working local Foxton crew who has built and maintains the trails. Jodi Iwanika, Leighton Judd, Janelle Perreau, Harry Wells, Rachel Beaver, Tina Bishop, Gavin Skewes and Ross Murray have contributed countless hours alongside other members. The timing couldn’t be more disappointing: there was a successful work day on Saturday and the trails were in excellent condition.
Please keep an eye on social media for updates AND for announcements of work days. While a lot of the work will require heavy machinery, there is no doubt that we will need a lot of help from MMBC members.
