CNI Round 7 Standings

Despite what our website says - it can't handle the result of Head-to-Head matches - St Paul's Collegiate is on top of the table as they defeated St Peter's School.

With two rounds to go - here are the placings. You can fairly much lock in the top 3 as having made the Top 4. The fourth slot is still to be claimed.

Last two rounds are stretched out due to school holidays.

Last two weekends on the 1st and 8th August will come around quick enough.

Round 7 on Saturday with 4 matches played in Paerata, Hastings and Hamilton.

Two matches where the home sides had comfortable wins over the visitors.

The two matches in Hamilton were very close affairs. St Paul's Collegiate accurate goal kicking secured them a tense 3-point win over FAHS. St Peter's 27-18 win over St John's sees them secure the Rick T. Francis Memorial Shield and take it back to Cambridge.

Due to the Quad - Whanganui and Matamata were not playing this week - this fixture will be played on the 20th July.

Another fixture on the Saturday which I'm sure was closely followed. Lots of involvement in this match from former CNI players. Some will obviously be very happy with this result. 😁

Monty Gibson ( #1321) - Cap #25
Debut Match - Hastings BHS - 11 May 2024
Cap Match - St Paul's Collegiate School - 20 June 2026
Points scored - 20 points to 20th June 2026

Monty Gibson was presented his cap at the after match following our game against St Paul's Collegiate School by his parents Amber and Rick on Saturday. Nice that they could make the long trip north on this special occasion for Monty.

Monty is one of our lineout weapons and has a massive motor on him that sees him play big minutes. A very considered young man that works hard for his team and sets the standards. Congratulations Monty - well deserved.

30 games in the jersey.
