We are locking in the below - and will close entries off on sep 16th - NEXT WEDNESDAY!

Those who have made contact with Chappy to enter he will grab you email and register/email you invoices for payment.

This whole event is to bring NZSBK Championship riders to the world of MiniGP and pass on some our their skills to 160cc and 110cc riders.

Saturday will have open practice in the morning, then team announcement, then Seniors will ride with have track time to ride their team, their 160 and 110 juniors. Heaps of sessions for rider development.

There will be 3 individual races and a Team event.

This is all about rider development, less about the racing...fun will be enforced - expect the unexpected. I genuinely believe some of the seniors are going to be blown away by what our juniors can do....before they try and work with them ;-)

We are 100% out of spare machines, and all hire machines are being ridden MORE THAN ONCE - we will likely cap the Team entries as they stand.

Trackday on Saturday and individual entries welcomed, we have a bunch of juniors coming to ride the track for the very first time too.

CLUB DAY – SUNDAY 13 SEPTEMBER

Time to get those entries in!
Club Days are all about getting out on track, having some fun and enjoying a day of racing with your fellow club members. Whether you’re there to chase a win, get some extra track time or simply enjoy a good day at the club, we’d love to see you there.
And you don’t have to be a Manawatu local — we’d love to see some of our out-of-town karting friends come along and join us for the day too! Come race with us and enjoy some good old-fashioned club spirit.

A huge thank you to Manawatu & TRC Toyota for supporting our Club Day and helping us keep the entry fee to just $30 this month!

Swapped the tarseal for the terra ferma!

What’s one of the best things about our Delirio machines? Flexibility - our Evo 12 160cc machine needed an engine and gearbox refresh so while it’s out we thought……

Why not throw a 110cc auto in it. Nathan Chappell Racing had his championship winning motor sitting so let’s see how easy it is to through in a new Evo 12 frame.

Everything bolted up. Started up. New style of machine created! 12 inch auto for those taller who need more time to develop their clutch and gear shifting skills.

Hey everyone - we can start locking in some details for the Kiwibike InsuranceCozy NZ MiniGP Series!

1. We will be running the series rounds on the dates identified, which are:

Round 1 at Karting Wellington November 29th - single day event with Bucket Racing New Zealand Inc Wellington = Motorcycling New Zealand Inc affiliated

Round 2 at Kartsport Manawatu NZ December 19th and 20th MiniGP Academy NZ affiliated

Round 3 February 6th and 7th 2027 - Location INTENTION Karting Tokoroa - Location to be confirmed

Round 4 February 20th and 21st 2027 - Location to be confirmed

Round 5 March 13th and 14th 2027 - Location INTENTION KartSport Taranaki - Location to be confirmed

All dates are considered LOCKED IN - if a venue is unavailable then we will pivot to another location. We are at the mercy of Karting New Zealand calendar and national levelled events.

2. The "MiniGP Family" has confirmed its desire to add a MNZ/NZSBK Championship aligned SS150 class. Therefore race categories will be:

Non Competition MiniGP
(those developing and/or under the age of 7)
110cc Auto - intended ages 7-10
150/160 Juniors - intended ages 10-15
150/160/190 Seniors 16+
SS150 Development class - Name TBC, ages 11-18years

***AGE DISPENSATIONS ARE AT THE DISCRETION OF MINIGP ACADEMY NZ SERIES ORGANISERS***

The all classes will be pointed separately. SS150 machines will not be mixed with MiniGP machines during any races. The SS150 class will be for any person aged 11-18 that is not, or has not competed in larger capacity class in any other RR championship.

For example: If a 16 year old is competing or has competed at AMCC in a class like 300SS or protwins they will not be considered eligible for the MiniGP Series SS150 class.

The goal is to have an environment that to grow and develop NZ juniors into the SS150 space, and prepare them for NZSBK and other FIM accredited competitions.
