Your Club Vice-President is once again calling upon YOU to rock up to pre-season training fully prepared to be sacrificed for your beloved Feilding United AFC and to get fit for the upcoming campaign.

The CGulls are in a total rebuild for Division One and there are spots available.

There will be running involved, and it will be hard, but it will be worth it both in season and watching Campbell Hare trying not to throw up.

With several key players unavailable for 2025 and captain Gary abandoning us to coach the 1st Team, there are several spots available on the 2025 CGulls as they take on Division One.

If you are moderately talented, barely fit, and a practicing alcoholic this could be you! Will also consider those with footballing ability, match fit and teetotal if we get desperate.

We could also do with a coach as Gary has been seduced by the glitz and glamour of trips to New Plymouth in the Western Prems instead of the delights of Manawatu Division One.

Come and trial Wednesday 29th January at 630pm.

Join the boys next Wednesday 22nd January for their first kickabout of the preseason. It's been a big couple of years for the Gulls as they've smashed two leagues in a row, can they make it a third as they reach the lofty heights of Division One?

From this photo you wouldn't think he'd just added the Bill Dyer Trophy to the Manawatu Division Two title already safely locked in his trophy cabinet.

After a lifetime of service already to Feilding United AFC, I can't imagine he thought turning up to watch his grandson play with a bunch of alcoholic degenerates would light a spark in him to get back on the sidelines coaching.

2023 preseason rolled around with Tony installed as Gulls coach, and the competitiveness and drive he brought to the team saw the lads bring home the Division Three title by the skin of their teeth.

2024 saw the boys move up a division, and with some smart additions to the side, Tony lead the boys to a dominant league and cup winning season, with only 1 loss all year and well over 100 goals smashed in.

Now despite weekly prodding from the captain and the rest of the boys Tony leaves the Gulls two divisions higher than he found them, with a fully laden trophy cabinet, as he can now enjoy his well deserved retirement.

Cheers Tony, a top player, fantastic coach across multiple spells, continuing to contribute going forward on the Committee, and the very definition of what a Life Member should look like.

Due to an internal promotion, the business-critical position of Court Jester has become available.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

• Photoshopping Cameron Fairless into a variety of bizarre situations

• Mocking Cameron Fairless’ for his many misses during matches

• Trying really hard to remember who scored the goals and badly describing them for our Facebook followers

A highly competitive salary package consisting of the respect and admiration of a bunch of degenerates is on offer to qualified candidates.

This years final tally of C-Gull goalscorers.

An amazing season for G with a huge 27 goals. Remarkable effort from centre back Luke with 13 goals, most of which came from him dribbling through the other team. If Cam wasn't always injured who knows how many he would have bagged. 14 out of the 24 lads who played this year scored at least one goal which is a cracking record also.

A big shoutout to our defenders who didn't get on the scoresheet this year. I can't remember a season across 20 years of senior football where a team had so few shots on goal against it, which is a testament to their commitment and hard work preventing the opposition getting near our goal.
