Fox Peak was lucky enough to have Thomas as part of our inaugural SKIMO organisation team this year. He and others gave up their valuable time to help our small ski club promote ski touring and a ski tour race weekend. He also ran an info evening at Fox Lodge promoting safety in the mountains and ski touring. Thank you Thomas for your passion and offering to our club and the industry. We will always remember you ❤️🦊 RIP

It is with heavy heart we wish to inform past and present members….

Tim O’Connor, a long standing Club member and past committee member has died. He suffered from a genetic condition that over many years slowly caused him to lose his cognitive senses and his physical abilities. This showed up many years ago when on work parties at Fox as he often would have trouble making a decision.
Tim was introduced to the Club by his employer Bill Roycroft in the late 70’s.
Bill was the Club’s plumber and after his death Tim followed in Bill’s footsteps mainly looking after the Lodge water supply.
Tim introduced his family to skiing and although he did not ski much himself he had that love of the mountains that keeps followers coming back and providing assistance to organisations such as Fox Peak Ski Club.
We have missed his sometimes different humour over the last few years as his condition had prevented him attending his beloved work parties. Pam and family have been a tower of strength over these years and the Club passes on its sympathy to them for the loss of Tim.
