All South Canterbury members. We are getting Graeme Rees down to South Canterbury to train us on being a coach. It’s a 2 day course costing $100 being held on sat 10th and sun 11th Oct and at the end of it you will be a qualified coach. If you enjoy helping others in learning bowls this is for you. Hope everyone has been enjoying the off season but it’s now time to start thinking about dusting those bowls off. The centre development singles are being played early this year. Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 September. Forms will be in the jack and mat cupboard outside club rooms. This is for bowlers of 8 years or less and has a $20 entry fee. Names must be put on form before Monday 7 September.

Garry has been hard at work and has set up the indoor bowls in the club room.

We will be starting our indoor bowls season from this week coming.

There will be a $25 winter fee for anyone wanting to play.

Hoping to run Fridays 1:30pm start and Sundays 2pm start.

The yearly match against Temuka for the Carlton tray is being played Wednesday 6th May at 1pm in Temuka. If any Fairlie members are available to play please get in touch. Thanks

Coaches clinic South Canterbury

We are looking at holding a coaches course here in South Canterbury and looking for participants from all clubs to participate

With currently no qualified coaches in the region this is a great opportunity to build coaching strength locally and support the future of the sport.

Course Details
Planned for September
2 day course (potentially 1 day online)
$100 per person
Will need a minimum of 10 participants for this to go ahead.

After contact to clubs and South Canterbury bowls there may be some financial support for anyone interested in doing the course.

Please note this is a course for you to become a qualified coach.

Great work today from the mixed pairs team. Well done to Bruce and Jo and Sally and Diesel who have got through to post section being played tomorrow. What a great achievement, keep up the good bowls tomorrow and have fun.
