That’s a wrap. Last day of 2023 SISS Tournament ended with another win for EC in a rematch of last year’s C grade final against Queen Charlotte College. Team did great to keep in touch for three quarters then hit the lead in the last. Well done everyone on all the effort and huge huge thanks for all the support, sponsors, great kids and the super star help and expertise of Deb Johnson (Coach), Charlotte Lemon (Assistant Coach), Maree Lemon (Umpire) and Murray Lemon (Bench Official). Not to mention a birthday celebration in the midst. SISS you’ve done it again - awesome experience 👏👏

Ellesmere College Senior A had a great day today. First up was a scenic trip to Bluff to check out the South Island’s southernmost spot at the Bluff Hill Look Out and the Stirling Point sign post. Then back to business at the Velodrome. Then, woohoo EC had a win against Oxford 37-22. Which means...... EC will remain in B Grade for the 2024 SISS Tournament 👏👏🥳🥳 Team is so pleased to have met all its 2023 goals. Yay, onwards and upwards.

Oooooo so close today. First up was Trinity Catholic College and a really exciting game with TCC taking it out 27-23. With a tight turnaround it was into the Velodrome for another nail biter against Buller High, EC just missing out 38-35 but a very important bonus point gained. Excellent effort all round.

Day One of tournament has seen some excellent netball. First game was a tight tussle with the B grade 4th seed with Gore High coming out the winner 27-22. Next up was a local match up against Lincoln High with a strong Lincoln team taking it out; with an awesome after match get together by the Ellesmere area’s schools. Then it was out to the beach for a very windy cool down. Great day girls👏👏👏
