We were back in the hot seat Saturday night at Stratford with 29 cars racing for the heritage shield after the couple of surgerys we had. Actually came back a few weeks earlier and spun some laps at taranaki champs when we shouldn't have so were in the trailer early.

Race 1 Started grid 11 good start picked up a few places before coming across a spun car in turn 4 having no where to go but through them doing lots of damage to there car, recovered to come home 12th

Race 2 Started grid 24 again good start picking cars off got up into top 10 before had another car spun infront of us and we were pushing them down the track side ways, came home 14th

Race 3 Started grid 6 after having a false start we re gridded and by turn 2 had muscled our way up to 3rd on lap 2 got up to 2nd and set our sights on the leader, by lap 7 we had wound them in and were battling for the lead before making the pass. Turn 1 last lap made a small mistake abd pushed wide dropping back to 2nd where we finished.

Not a bad nights racing finishing 8th overall, cars showing good pace with second fastest lap times in every race and with a bit of luck we would have been up the pointy end again but that's stockcar racing.

Thanks to Steve, Jamie and my old man for crewing and Tash for staying home looking after the tribe and letting me go do what I enjoy.

Massive thanks to the sponsors couldn't do it without the help.

The post we have been waiting to make for quite awhile. Saturday night saw us head to Stratfords opening night for our first hit out in the new car.

Race 1 Grid 13 - 3rd, Solid start and made most of the postions in the first 2 laps.

Race 2 Grid 5 - 3rd, Ripper of a start where we went up the inside straight into the lead at turn 2 and that's where we stayed until lap 7 a lap car clipped and spun us dropping down to 10th before moving back up to 3rd

Race 3 Grid 9 - 1st 🏁 The one that have been wanting for a long time, again another ripper start slotting into 2nd running there for all of the race struggling for drive while closely battling for the lead, slightly missed the setup, last lap last corner a couple cars held up the leader and we snuck through for our first ever flag and to do it in the new car with minimal seat time only shows how much more potential there is.

Those results left us top of the table for the City of New Plymouth classic. Super pumped with the result and congrats to Ryan and Ricky for 2nd and 3rd.

Unfortunately that's as good as it gets though as our health is not the best and we are having to have 2 surgerys this week which means we are not sure when we will be back in the car again possibly after Christmas. Super gutted after the results we just had.

Big thanks to Tyler and Paz for all the set up and advice and help that has come with the car. Also big thanks to those who came to crew on the night glad I could get a result.

As always support the ones who support us

Little bit late on the updates, we finally made it to Stratfords only practice last Saturday and had a skid in the new car. Felt quite at home straight away and seemed to click which was good. Fingers crossed the weather plays ball and we can have our first meeting in it this Saturday.

Thanks to the sponsors who keep us running

Here she is!

The new 96s machine wrapped up in her new design. Pics don't do it justice shes bright! Conor and the team at Attraction Sign & Design hit the brief perfectly. Few little jobs to do on the car and hopefully we can have a skid at Stratfords first practice next weekend.

Thanks to the sponsors who have stuck with us this season after we had last season off. Our health hasn't been the best but we are guna have a crack at this season and see how we go.

If there's anyone who wants to jump on board and crew this season we would be more than grateful to ease the load.

As some may know at the end of last season we decided to list the stockcar up for sale, we were hoping to sell as a roller but a few things aligned and we managed to purchase our new car before the old had sold, We are lucky enough to have been able to purchase the ex 33s Tyler Walker stockcar which has now had its new panel kits painted and is sitting at Attraction Sign & Design awaiting the new design.

In the meantime we got offered a deal we couldn't refuse for the old stockcar and have tripped to wellington and swapped for a superstock with a substantial spares package.

We will be focusing on the stockcar this season and may get the super out later in the season for a skid and to see if it's something we want to pursue.

Keep your eyes peeled for the new design and big thanks to the sponsors who have reached out amd agreed to come on board again this season.

Racing any form of motorsport is not just about the driver, it takes alot of support from family weather it be at the track, in the shed, or mum holding the fort down and allowing dad to go do something he enjoys. We didnt get a chance to get out this season but we have had our hands full with the little ones and expanding the business. So here's a pic showing the support I have behind me of our blended family that let's me do the things I enjoy come next season we will be rearing to go.

Bit of a long update after the GP last weekend. After calling into Rees Race cars on the way to palmy and getting them to give the car a once over we were set to go.

Qualifying night started well in race 1 grid 20 moving through to 9th and setting fastest lap.of the race with Bryce driving the car for the first time. Came in and mentioned a few things that shouldn't be that way.

Race 2 started grid 6 got a good start tucked into 4th until turn 3 first lap where a car half spun in front and left no where to go but through them resulting in a bit of damage and popped LR tyre so finished with DNF

Race 3 started 17th and was running 6th until turn 2 last lap when a local thought it'd be good to put us in the wall resulting in another DNF meaning the following night we only made it in the cattle class.

Next day we set about fixing the few things Bryce had advised needed sorting and got it sorted during the day.

Night 2 only saw 1 race started off grid 2 and led the race again setting 2nd fastest lap time and the driver was happy with the car until last lap turn 2 a different local put us in the wall but didn't leave enough time for payback finishing down the order. Overall took alot of positives away.

Last night Jan 4th had another hit out at Stratford to make sure everything was algood. Making some tyre size changes etc definitely looked to have worked with 45 cars entered for the Heritage shield they ran 2 groups with 2 qualifying races and a 1 race final. Bryce drew grid 10 in race 1 and grid 10 in race 2 and the car was a rocket coming home with a 3rd and 2nd to qualify 2nd for the final. Car was coming in warm so we have a overheating issue to sort.

In the final starting grid 2 on the outside didn't get the best start dropping to 4th and wheeling in 3rd quickly half way through the race came across a spun lap car with no where to go but through the front of them dropping back to 8th with a couple laps to go in the end got back to 5th. All positive signs just need that bit of luck still to fall our way.

Few things to sort before NZs in 2 weeks but the car is definitely dialed now and in the window with the changes made so big thanks to the rees crew, Josh Prentice and Bryce for there work and advice on the car setting it all up seeing the car go so we'll now and learning so much on how to set it up has started to give me the itch back so who knows I might jump in for a skid before the end of the season after Bryce does the NZs.

Big thanks to all helpers and sponsors along the journey all though we are not accepting sponsorship this season still a thanks to the ones that have helped over the last few head over and give them a like & follow

Long time between updates but in the last week the car has had a big make over injection on and running and tuned plus new side rail and out riggers, wheel gates and complete front bumper and out riggers and under rider plus front and rear crush rails. She's sitting here good to go for the GP with a different driver. Hopefully he can find some luck in this car tonight.

Bit of a update from in the shed. Unfortunately there's not much to update. The cars still how it was nearly 8 weeks ago. With life being quite busy with the birth of our daughter and work being chaos there just hasn't been the hours in the days to get any time in the shed. We have made the call to not push to try and make opening night at Stratford and just take things as they come and try make it out sometime before Christmas. At the end of the day family comes first and that is the priority at the moment.

As we make some progress we will keep ya updated. We will look at doing another merch order for those interested keep a eye out or the post.

As always big thanks to the sponsors that stick by our side weather we are out there or not. Please support them where you can.

Last night we had our final hit out of the season at Stratford speedway. With the stockcars running for 3 Memorials and the 60th anniversary cup it was guna be a good night. Only 19 cars showed up.on the night which was a suprise. But as the season has gone lady luck wasn't on our side again.
Race 1 - we drew grid 18, Got a good start and got round 1 and 2 and the car developed a miss, as the laps went on we struggled with the miss getting worse and car down on power, came home 16th.
Race 2 - we were meant to be off grid 2 but we decided to call it a night as the 1 spare part we needed is the 1 spare Part we didn't have 🤦‍♂️
Race 3 - after watching the 2nd race we hated sitting there watching and decided to do a rough fix and hope it worked and go out and have some fun. Started off grid 16 for this one, with our good mate 98v Corey Sutton starting behind us we decided to keep the brakes on and hold him up, practicing some blocking and tap and spins etc with him and another. Came home 13th.
Race 4 - We had grid 4. Decided to start on the brakes again and p**s half the pack off, eventually taking off and pulling to the pole line and having some fun again with 98v and a few others on our way around, coming home in 8th with quite a few others not finishing.

We went and had a beer in the club rooms afterwards and to our suprise we won the Warren Lowry Stockcar Memorial for the best stirrer for the night. Didn't think we had done enough to get it but I guess annoying more than 1 or 2 drivers worked. Super stoked to end the season on a bit of a high with the really crap run we have had.

Massive massive thanks to everyone who has helped out this season big or small, Tash for being there every meeting and bringing Cole to support me means so much more than you realise and for letting me spend the hours in the shed sorting the car, Crew chief Steve Milham for giving up your Saturday nights to come belt me in and fuel up and your advise, Johno & Haley from Automotive Brake and clutch for coming on as not just a sponsor but crew this season when they could the extra hands and knowledge helps, Dad for turning up most meetings and being the eyes on the track and helping where you can, Ricky from USA Specialty Products for building a solid engine and helping with advise etc when there's a issue. And to anyone else who has helped no matter how big or small it's appreciated this is not a sport that can be done alone.

But the biggest thank you really goes to all the sponsors who give up there time and money with sometimes no benefit to them, without them none of this would be possible so I can't stress it enough support those who support us no matter how big or small it all ads up.

Peter Barry's teams event was a blast. Unfortunately the results didn't go our way but was still awesome to get out there and debut for the Stormers and get some more seat time teams racing.
First up we had Gisborne, I sat on the in field for this one as being a newbie and putting the rees shield on the line we tried to keep it. Unfortunately that didn't happen and after loosing 2 cars in the first 2 corners it was always going to be a tough ask. We ended up only having 1 car finish so not good for points either.
Second up we had our rivals down the road Wanganui, I started off pole in this one and was tasked with trying to bring it home, unfortunately again we lost 2 cars on the first lap to mechanical issues so we were on the back foot again, I got put in the wall on turn 3 lap one while leading and then managed to run 2nd and 3rd most of the race while moving a couple of block cars on the way. But when ya only have 1 run car and 1 block car it was always going to be hard.
We ended up qualifying in 11th so didn't make the big show.
For the consultation races on Saturday night I let Jeremy our 6th driver have a skid since he went all that way. On lap 7 the power steering pump gave up. Quick swap out and it was running again where I let a mate who lives over there have a skid in race 2 and 3 all this while I had some precious family time with my little man watching the teams racing that he's already so interested in.

Overall a great weekend away, learnt alot and got to drive a track I've never driven.

Big thanks to all the sponsors of the Stormers and to my sponsors none of it can be done without the outside help.

It has been a real struggle this season with the car and with juggling family time and time in theshed getting it ready. With Stratfords final meeting being rained off on Saturday it means we will have one last final hit out for the season once that is re scheduled.

Cats out of the bag. This weekend we will be throwing on the Stormers team kit and representing the team for the first time. Also first time racing at the Meanee track so will be a big weekend of learning in all aspects. Looking forward to having a good run at will be probably our last meeting of the season.

As always massive shout out to the sponsors and crew who support us as there's no way we could do it otherwise.
