2026 footy has come to an end with many positives coming from the year. We thank Matt and Junz for their 100 % commitment to the squad and building and bringing the youth into a team where the future is bright in the Division One Competition.

The next chapter is here with a few exciting things coming up in the near future sees The Magpies in a strong position. If you’re wanting a shot or want to be part of a group to be at the helm, get in touch.

Congratulations to Kyle and Nemo for making representative honours for the region at Rugby League. Both men having individually stand out seasons in the Summer league comp and then a massive campaign with the Magpies at Union in Division One being key players in the squad, they then won the Winter league comp with He Tauaa and have been rewarded with selection to the Rams. Go well lads I’m sure those bodies will enjoy the rest after this competition.

The 2026 season has come to an end with Wyndham taking the win in the Ack Soper Final. Congratulations to Wyndham who have set the bar for a number of years can be very proud of winning 3 championships in a row.

To our boys, another successful season getting to the final hurdle, we can be very proud yesterday that we left nothing out on the paddock but the hurt will always bring us back hungrier for more in the future.

Thankyou to all our coaches, management, supporters and sponsors for giving us the opportunity and to our committee we know our club is in good hands as we close the 2026 season.

Shoutout to the two new teams to the Division this year Riverton and Waikiwi you both were brilliant and made it bloody tough, no doubt 2027 is going to be a ripper.

We will take a break and celebrate our season with prizegiving on October 10.
