At the Doyle Academy, we offer Irish dance classes for preschool, children & adults across multiple locations in Auckland. Our state-of-the-art, purpose-built dance studio in East Tamaki serves as the heart of our academy, with additional satellite locations in Papakura and Remuera to make learning Irish dance accessible to everyone. Under the expert guidance of Leeann and Paula, both qualified

TCRG teachers registered with the Traditional Irish Dancing Association of New Zealand and An Coimisiun le Rinci Gaelacha (the International Irish Dancing Commission), we provide an inclusive and friendly environment for all dancers and their families. Our classes cater to all ages and skill levels, with personalised instruction to help each dancer achieve their potential. We focus on refining technique, setting achievable goals, and offering continuous encouragement to support each dancer's journey in Irish dance. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced dancer, we are dedicated to helping you reach your Irish dancing goals.

🌊 BIG NEWS for City of Sails 2026! 🌊

We are so excited to welcome you back for the 2026 City of Sails Championship! To make this year truly special before we take a short hiatus, we’re moving to a "Nationals-style" Championship format to give our dancers the ultimate major-competition experience.

What’s New for 2026?

🏆 Saturday Championships: We’re running Primary, Intermediate, and Open together in single-age groups! Dancers will compete for one overall Championship title with 3 Australian Judges.

🏅 Recognition: We are sticking with a 50% placement rule, and every dancer who doesn’t place will receive a participation medal!

💰 Streamlined Fees: One all-inclusive $90 fee for Saturday Championships.

🇦🇺 Judging Panel: 3 Australian judges on Saturday and 1 on Sunday!

The Sunday Lineup:

✨ Novice & Adult A Rounds
🏆 Inchicore & Mullingar Cups (Top 3 placed!)
👯‍♀️ Teams Sunday Afternoon

Note for Families: To keep entry fees affordable and cover our 3-judge panel costs, there will be no official photographer this year.
