TOURNAMENT WEEK | JMC SENIOR A

Next up for Tournament Week is our JMC Senior A squad, locked in for the 2026 A South Island Southern Cup in Dunedin.

📍 Edgar Centre, Dunedin

The boys are ready for a big few days of basketball and another chance to represent JMC.

Our games are at 8am and 1:15pm tomorrow.

That’s a wrap on the South Island Junior Secondary School Basketball Premierships for our Junior A boys.

The team finishes the tournament in 9th place, ending the week on a high with an 83–59 win over Greymouth High School.

Plenty of growth across the tournament, some big individual performances, and most importantly, the boys continued to compete and improve together right through to the final game.

A huge thank you to the families and everyone who supported the team throughout the week.

A strong all-round team performance sees the boys take an 83–61 win over Mt Aspiring in the 9–12 playoff semi-final.

Great energy, great teamwork, and a strong response from the whole group.

Another win for the boys late yesterday!

GAME 4 RESULT | JMC JUNIOR A

Big response from the boys, picking up a 96–83 win over John Paul II to finish our Pool D games. 🔥

Top scorers:
Oscar Devereux-Kilpatrick—39
Hunter Taylor—31
Hugo Morrison—14

Oscar and Hunter combined for an incredible 70 points, but this one was a full-team effort.

A special mention to Noah Egbuji for his outstanding defence — a huge part of getting the win.
