Math Report: After being called up to
play the Taieri Senior A boys team the Fire fighters weren't sure how we were going to tactically approach this tough game. Without the brains of Daniel O'connell we knew we had the chance to extend our streak to 8 in a row and that was exactly what we did. With devastating counter attacks and smooth 3 point shooting, the Firefighters eased their way through to yet another victory. Firefighter of the game goes to Gary Lee with a game high 21 points to show why the firefighters picked him in the 2014 draft.
Final score: 68-34

MATCH REPORT: After being kicked out of the competition and re entered again, the Kavanagh College Fire Fighters have continued where they left off with a comfortable victory over a previously unbeaten john Mcglashan team who have put atleast 60 points on all other teams they've played. Every Fire Fighter showed real determination and improved behaviour to make it 7 games without lost this season. Firefighter of the day goes to Ossian Woods who finally showed why he's in the team and scored his first points of the season after a long dry streak of 6 games without any points and improved his field goal percentage to 0.5%

BREAKING NEWS: After several weeks of speculation around the city of Dunedin, the Kavanagh College Fire Fighters can finally confirm that we are returning to the top flight Social C grade competition as soon as this Friday. We will be taking on John Mcglashan Senior Yellow at 7.15PM court 5 Edgar Centre. We're sorry to say that we wont bring our usual physical selves to the game but that will only be one attribute that will be missing out of the hunna's that we bring to stage.

To the public and hearty supporters of the firefighters.

I am regretted and truly disappointed to bring you this news.

After the physical live r**e show and bucket extravaganza win over T.G.O.M Kavanagh basketball team, in a joint decision from basketball otago and Kavanagh college I James McDonald have been let go of my responsibilities as head coach, shortly followed by the banning of the firefighters Kavanagh college basketball team.

After a season of 6 wins and zero losses, our talents of Tim Morrisons 3 pointers, Liam Goods air ball free throws and Captain Reeves thug like street fighting we will no longer be witnessed on the courts of Edgar centre.

The Fire Fighters have been wrongly accused of foul play and bringing a 'bad atmosphere' to the games we compete in. We have had several meetings with the board and no convincing was taken to consideration at all. Kavanagh College Sport management have came to the conclusion that we will be pulled out of the C grade competition, Indeed we do feel hard done by.

If anyone is open to a organised game, please get in contact. But, as we are too physical and give absolutely zeeero f***s we will never play in a basketball otago social grade again.

SEASON UPDATE: The Kavanagh college fire fighters have now won 6 in 6 and are on a hot streak. After trailing for most of the game the dogs got our heads together and came back to win the game. The generation of miracles didn't live up to their name and the game ended in a comfortable victory. It was a all round good effort and everyone played their part in the team. Firefighter of the Day goes to Matt Kelly with his precision 3 point shooting and die hard defence.
