Michael “Kiwi” Coventry has been around the football club since 2014. Making an immediate impact being apart of the 2014 Reserves grand final winning team. All this after East Perth turned away a supreme talent when he arrived across the ditch from NZ.
Kiwi is the epitome of a club man, volunteering countless hours to the club and is now the current president, a role he took up at the end of the 2022 season until now.
He has quite the illustrious career on the field with a number of awards:
- 2014 C4 Reserves Premier
- 2015 League Coaches Award
- 2016 League Coaches Award
- 2017 C4 Reserves Premier
- 2017 Reserves Player of the Finals
- 2018 Reserves Coaches Award
- 2019 Hard-man Award
- 2022 Reserves Best and Fairest
All this topped off as being the president at the helm to the clubs first ever League premiership in 2023.
Kiwi. 150 games is a huge achievement at any football club, but to do this at a club like Osborne Park is so much more, everyone at the club appreciates what you do to keep the club ticking along and achieving the goals we set ourselves every year.
If you’ve played alongside kiwi, watched or even just had a beer with this great man get down to Robinson reserve tomorrow at 3:20pm to watch him runs out for the thirds team.
