The Red and Black do it again in 2025, with a win over Otago in Christchurch, 36-28.
Otago went to the break 10-14 up, but with the wind on their back, Canterbury dominated in the second.
Tonight Canterbury farewells a couple of old mates, Captain Tom Christie and their home ground as they move to a new stadium next year. Thank you for being a friend.

The Crusaders take the bonus point win from the Force in Christchurch.
Macca Springer for the Crusaders tied the most tries scored in a Super Rugby game (5).
Sevu Reece is only two tries away from breaking the most tries ever by a Super Rugby players. He currently sits on 64.
As for the game, the Saders were a bit sloppy and only really piled on the points in the 3rd quarter. But will be happy with where they now sit on the table.

World Rugby's "Laws of the Game" clearly stipulates that the TMO can only rule on a knock-on within two phases leading to a try.
The try Aaron Smith scored for the All Blacks was disallowed because of a knock-on FIVE phases back.
How is it that an inquiry is not being held? It appears the TMO deliberately break the laws of the game and not be held accountable.
It's no wonder people are turning off the game. Why even bother playing? They should just ask the Referee and TMO before kick-off who is going to win.

Finally, what a state rugby is in. How is it that all three of South Africa's World Cup final appearances have been marred by controversy over poor refereeing decisions?
Sadly, it seems that rugby results are decided by the whistle, not by the players on the field.

A lot of people are wondering, who will be the All Blacks #10 next year. Apart from the option of DMac, we can confirm that while Beauden Barrett will spend time playing in Japan next year, Barrett is available for All Blacks selection in 2024.
