Otago Cricket is the sporting body responsible for administering Cricket in the lower half of the South Island. Otago Cricket consists of four districts (Dunedin, Southland, Otago Country & North Otago) and is one of six Major Associations in New Zealand engaged in Domestic Cricket. Otago Cricket's responsibilities include the administration and promotion of cricket at all levels, grass roots thro

ugh to our flagship Volts & Sparks representative sides. Within our area we have a number of fantastic First Class and International Grounds including the Otago University Oval, Queenstown Events Centre, Queens Park and Molyneux Park. Our ranks currently include BLACKCAPS and WhiteFerns captains Brendon McCullum and Suzie Bates. Our commitment to the amateur game includes being in schools, working with clubs, running age group programmes and offering professional coaching. The path to being the next Volt or Spark starts at an early age!

We're excited to be delivering a two-day Coach Development Course in Southland, facilitated by NZC and OCA Coach Development staff, alongside OCA High Performance coaches.

📅 Dates (TBC):
• Sat 22 & Sun 23 August
OR
• Sat 26 & Sun 27 September

The course will include face-to-face modules covering:
Batting
Pace Bowling
Spin Bowling
Wicketkeeping
Fielding

This opportunity is open to coaches involved with:

Te Waipounamu Māori Cricket is seeking Expressions of Interest for Players, Coaches & Managers wishing to be a part of the Te Waipounamu teams for the upcoming National Māori Cricket Tournaments.

This is an exciting opportunity to represent the South Island on the national stage while celebrating and strengthening Māori cricket connections from across Aotearoa.

📅 19 – 22 October (Travel on 18th) – final days TBC
