Let’s talk about steps 🚶♀️
with this weeks Motivation Monday/Trainer Tips tying in perfectly with our Mini Challenge for this week!
Did you know that most of the calories we burn is through non-exercise activity thermogenesis (NEAT) 🤩.
However, because it’s so easy to live a sedentary lifestyle in this day and age…our NEAT levels are often lower than they should be.
Setting a minimum daily goal of 10K steps is a great way to increase energy expenditure and burn those extra calories! 💪🏼
Here’s a few things I do to help get those extra steps in……..
- park my car further away in the car park 🚗
- take the stairs instead of the elevator 🛗
- take a quick 5 min walk every hour (which is also really good for me to reset mentally)
- put a fun podcast in and take a 20-30 minute stroll with my pug! 🐩
