The end of another week, and great to have enquiries from the other side of the planet. For the UK and others, having this event planned so far in advance is allowing our distant gravel-throwing friends to get a full plan together to come and play in the NZ Silver Fern Rally.
If you have any in-car from the 2024 event, and some sponsors that you want to thank, get in touch so we can post some of your fun for all to see.

477 days away, sounds like a long time. But if you are interested in the World’s Greatest Marathon Rally, it is long enough to get the ducks in a row.
Our great ambassador from the other side of the world, Tony Jardine, has put together an article on the Retro Speed site about the NZ Silver Fern Rally

Great to see the interest this far out, and we intend to reach out to sponsors for this event -as they will get the benefit of over a year of marketing on our website, and on-event advertising.
Interest from people that are working through where their car would fit into the event, and others that are building a vehicle to tick this off their bucket-list. The types of vehicles that enquiries have been based on are varied indeed.

It's still well over a year away, but entries are open, and have been flowing in for 2026 NZ Silver Fern Rally.
Phil Thomas' 2024 didn't end how he wanted in the Lock & Load Ford Es**rt, so he has been sending through links to his YouTube channel.
Worth a look.
He will be back for 2026, and we look forward to bringing him and the event to the North Island.

Hi everyone. This has been a few months in the making in honour of our friend Ed. This has been created in his memory and we are proud to be a part of the Mulligan Cup. Check it out and look out for more updates dates over the coming months.

The introduction of a new Trans-Tasman Challenge, with four events in Australia and New Zealand, will be named in Ed Mulligan’s honour.

With over 20 expressions of interest forms being sent through within 24 hours of the release of dates for the 2026 NZ Silver Fern Rally, the entry form is now live, and price list uploaded to the website ( www.silverfernrally.co.nz ). The plan to have the Sup Regs, and the Technical Regs live on the website Monday. Shipping pricing from Australia and the UK, and also accommodation packages have been worked through.
Also, a big welcome back to Victoria Edwards as the Ultimate Rally Group General Manager. Great to have her back at the wheel again.

The new NZ Silver Fern Rally website is now live. Loaded and ready to go. Expressions of interest are now open, as we have been reminded that it's a long way to travel from the UK (and others), so time to plan is appreciated. The route is plotted, and the draft roadbook has even been produced.
Breaking the 1,000km for special stages, and with it in the North Island this time around, will be breaking records for the number of corners too.

Again, we will be offering the Classic 4WD (Pre-1996), and the Time-Trial as the two new divisions in this Marathon Event.

Well, after a weekend of watching the Otago Rally this weekend here in New Zealand, it showed our own Hayden Paddon flying through the world famous Kuri Bush stage (in the Silver Fern Rally, we know this as "Dicksons Road").
