I focus on helping clients 45 years through to their 80s get active and stay active. ‘You’re only as old as you feel’ is so true. Many years as a personal trainer and life on the planet have convinced me of the benefits of exercising as we age. We not only feel better physically, we feel better in ourselves. I understand how difficult it can be to exercise if you’re suffering from aches and pains

or you simply can’t motivate yourself. My job is to work with you to make the most of the body you’ve got and give you a training programme you enjoy. I offer one-on-one training and sessions for friends, family members and colleagues who'd like to exercise together. Choose when and where you'd like to train - at your home, office, park or local gym. A mobile service in central Auckland suburbs and on the North Shore.

Well, it looks like gyms may remain closed here in Auckland for some time..
This doesn’t worry my clients as I swing into their place or local park and set up the equipment I need for their workout which I have planned around their needs and goals.
This could be the best way for you to get fit, get strong and get rehabbed if that’s your goal.

With Lockdown on us once again make sure you get out and move.
Running and cycling don’t suit everyone but remember, walking is still an awesome way to keep fit and to control your weight.
Do these things to make your walk more effective.
Vary your pace, don’t keep the same speed every walk.
Change the course and distance each walk as your body will adjust to a lower energy if you do the same walk and pace every time. It would become boring as well.
Find some progressively more challenging hills you can include, don’t stick to the flat.
Until gyms and pools reopen make your walking interesting and challenging.
