Musing this morning about time and how drastically life can change and how some things stay constant.
Made me look back at my photo roll and see what was life doing 10 years ago.

I was on my second Paralympic adventure with the Canadian team as the groom for Ashley and Mr Disco.

I also flew from Florida and team training camp back home to say what I thought might be final good bye to Jan when he got his diagnosis around the same time. And then to Brazil to rejoin the team.

The constant in all the changes over the years have been my horses and the desire to help people and horses have better relationships, and the connection I see between the lessons Ive learnt from my horses to the way in which God wants to be with the human race.

Funny things you miss when your with them all the time. Only now as I see them standing like this do I realise/see actually how big Aurora is. She’s grown in width and stature so much compared to last year at this time.
Finny looks small now 🙂 she’s the same as she always was. And Millie looks average where she always looked tall compared to the other two.

This photo is a throw back to 2021 when Honour and Recon got to meet for the first time.
Honour didn’t make friends easily but she Loved him immediately. They were great paddock mates and she protected him when he was at his worst health wise. Sad to not have either of them in my paddocks any more but glad for the lessons and learning from each of them. Sometimes I wonder what life would look like and the adventures they would have taken my boys on if they were still here.
