Southern Leyland Lads In April 2025 Jase and Ash will join 49 other teams in New Zealand to drive minis from Paihia to Invercargill in the Pork Pie Charity Run.

This event raises money for KidsCan, a charity that helps Kiwi Kids affected by poverty.

Just confirmed that Team Southern Leyland Lads and our Best Mates Slow and Low both got places in the 2027 Pork Pie Run!!!! So the journey begins all over again… and what’s even cooler is the itinerary sees us having the second last night in Dunedin!!!!

Registrations opened for The Pork Pie Run 2027 at 10am this morning … so now just the waiting game to see if we got one ...

And that’s a wrap. We are so proud to have contributed $14550 to the overall total of $468372 raised by 50 teams for KidsCan.

It takes a village and our village has certainly helped us to blast our original fundraising goal out of the park.

Along with our good mates Steve and Troy in Team Slow N Low our two teams raised $29704 which will support 82 children for a year. Our teams also both finished in the fundraising top 10 so we were pretty chuffed with that too!

In a time when there are so many negatives it was pretty special to be part of something so positive. We met some amazing people and had a blast driving the length of our country in our trusty mini who we have now named Godfrey.
