Cromwell College Senior A Netball

This week we had a BYE in Wanaka along with the Cromwell Netball Club B team, so took the opportunity to arrange a game to keep us all on our toes and focussed on the season ahead, What a cracker game, full of intensity, learnings & even a few laughs along the way! Congratulations to Nevaeh & Charli who were awarded player(s) of the day for the following reasons:
Nevaeh displayed amazing fitness and stamina, and was a key Link from one end of the court to the other.
Charli picked up great tips and intercepts and backed up nicely throughout the midcourt.
Very well deserved girls!
Big thanks to Nic & her team for the game, & Rach for umpiring - we appreciate it.

Congratulations to the following players who have been selected in the 2025 Senior A Netball team, we are all looking forward to an awesome season of growth, development & of course fun! A big thank you to Dee & Linda for stepping into the Coaching/Management roles & to the parents/caregivers for their support already, without these volunteers the team wouldn't be as easy!

Final post for Senior A - Team of 2024! As the year draws to a close and we reflect on the year that was... we say farewell to Milasa, Hannah & Chirlene, these 3 girls have been a part of this College team for sometime now, their leadership, guidance, humour & maturity have been very much appreciated. We cannot wait to see in a week from now, you all take your final walk across the stage at the Senior Prizegiving, we all very much look forward to seeing what 2025 and beyond brings for you all!

Day 4 - Game 2 - Our Final game for the SISS tournament & 2024 Season, and it did not disappoint! Playing for 25th / 26th place we were up against Ashburton College, it was an incredibly tight game, goal for goal, we were up then down by 3 then game back with avengence, the entire team were incredible, outstanding on court play with a really vocal bench, encouraging & supporting the team all the way! With our determination and composure we came away with the WIN! So proud of the team, they were amazing to watch over the week. Thanks to all of the supporters in person, online and messenger, a big thanks to the SISS Netball team, umpires, officials and staff that worked so hard to make this event such a huge success, Nga Puna Wai is an amazing facility, a real asset to the community!

Day 4 of SISS - Game 1 saw us take on our Southern Lakes neighbours Wakatipu - Great tight game with some fierce contesting for the ball - but we worked really hard as a team & came away with the win - 27 to 25! Congrats girls!

Today we celebrate not only our final day of SISS for 2024, but we also celebrate one of the best !! It's Milasa's 18th Birthday, The Senior A team have been so very blessed to have you as part of the team since 2021, Thank you Lasa for being such an incredible leader & support for the players, your strength, quiet nature & compassion has been unwavering. We will miss you but know you have a incredibly bright future ahead! 🥰
