At the Annual General Meeting held on Saturday 9th May, the following were voted into their roles for Central Motor Speedway.

We’re proud to introduce Tony Creighton as the new President of Central Motor Speedway.

Tony’s passion for speedway runs deep, having been involved in the sport since he first started racing at just 16 years old. Over the years, he has built a strong connection to the club and the wider speedway community, bringing both experience and dedication to the role.

Tony lives in Stirling with his partner Stacey and their two boys, Ben and Lucas. Outside of speedway, he owns and operates Creighton Sandblasting in Balclutha, showing the same work ethic and commitment in business as he does at the track.

Having served on the Central Motor Speedway committee for a number of years, Tony has already played an important role behind the scenes. We’re excited to see him step into the President’s role and lead the club into the future.

Supporting Tony in the Vice President role is Phil Burgess, Georgia Gordon is taking on the Treasurer role, alongside a committee made up of a great mix of both familiar and new faces - Whetu Tawea, Josh Buchanan, Mike Verdoner, Stu Miller, and Mathew Anderson.

We’re looking forward to an exciting future for Central Motor Speedway and can’t wait to get started on the 2026/27 season 🏁
