𝐒𝐚𝐯𝐞. 𝐓𝐡𝐞. 𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐞.

Our fourth edition of the Tauranga Invitational Flag Football Tournament is locked in for Saturday the 14th of March 2026. It serves as one last hit out for clubs prior to nationals in the sunny Bay of Plenty. The venue is TBD, but it will be in Tauranga.

With the expanded NZAFF youth grades this year, the format and structure of the tournament may be slightly different than previous years. We may not have divisions for every age group, and it will depend on the interest shown for each age group.

We're likely to be oversubscribed on entries again this year, so please register your club's interest as early as possible by clicking the below form. The criteria are outlined on the form as well.

As with previous years, we're aiming to make this a tournament with zero entry fees - we just want clubs coming to play in our backyard. However, if this is not possible given the costs associated, we will keep entry fees to a bare minimum.

𝗟&𝗣 𝗕𝗼𝘄𝗹 – 🔱𝗧𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝘃𝘀 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗲 🐾

It's great to have locked in a new bilateral early in the season against our good mates from North Harbour Pride American Football Club! This will be our first interclub game day of the season and our biggest ever single club game day, featuring junior, peewee, women’s, men’s, and legends squads all taking the field.

We’re heading to Paeroa Domain for this one - a nice, neutral middle ground that keeps travel and costs low for both clubs. While we've named the competition after Paeroa's greatest export, we're sadly not sponsored by Lemon & Paeroa. But we definitely wouldn’t say no if they came calling.....

We’ve got a great shared history with the Pride. They’ve been mainstays at our Invitational, alongside the obvious familial ties with the Taula brothers. We also have them to thank for starting the career of one the stars of our mens team, Wilson van der Veen. This game day feels like the next step in strengthening our clubs connection.

Joining us on the day will be the Peninsula Pirates Flag Football, who are running a Have-a-Go American Football session in their backyard. It’s a great chance to support the growth of football in the region, so if you know anyone nearby keen to give it a try, send them along! This will be kicking off at 11.30am, and you only need to bring along boots/shoes, a water bottle and some gear to run around in

As always, we’re open to bilaterals with other clubs with comparable squads and we’ve already got a few conversations underway to make that happen. 2025/26 is gonna be another great season, and we're looking forward to getting it underway next weekend!

With multiple grades battling it out in what so@e have dubbed the LnP Bowl *tbc

All clubs have been training away quietly and the players are now amped to go.

This tournament will feature north harbours first Legends team “Dads Army”. With one training under our belt and one to go we invite anyone that is 35+ to come down and have a run.
