✨ SENIOR PRIZEGIVING 2026 ✨

It’s been a little while since we gathered to celebrate the season, but we certainly haven’t forgotten. Looking back, it was a fantastic evening recognising the dedication, growth and achievements of our players, coaches and volunteers.

From 24 March through to 3 July, our courts came alive every Tuesday and Thursday with competitive games, teamwork, laughter and plenty of community spirit. The season wrapped up with two outstanding finals that were a fitting finish to another memorable year.

A huge thank you goes to everyone who made the season possible—our dedicated organisers, hardworking umpires, committed coaches and every player who pulled on a bib each week. Your time, passion and enthusiasm are what make our club so special.

Senior Prizegiving was made even more memorable with teams arriving dressed to match their team names. The creativity was incredible, with some absolutely spot-on costumes that added plenty of laughs and celebration to the evening! Can you guess the team names?

What a fantastic day of club netball at the annual Golden Bay 🆚 Motueka fixture in Motueka on Sunday! 💚🖤

It was a typical winter’s day, with chilly conditions and even a few snow flurries threatening the Takaka Hill, but that didn’t stop both centres from putting on a great display of netball.

Rep netball is a step up from weekly competition and a fantastic opportunity for players to challenge themselves, showcase their talent, and proudly represent their centre. It was also awesome to see the positive energy, encouragement, and sportsmanship on display across all five matches.

🏆 An A Grade Final worthy of the occasion! 🏐

After a nervous opening few minutes, both teams settled into their rhythm, setting the stage for a thrilling contest. Collingwood Tavern jumped out to an early lead, but Bay Fitness refused to back down. With a few tactical positional changes, they fought their way back, setting up a heart-racing finish.

Goal for goal in the closing stages, it truly was anyone’s game.

Congratulations to Collingwood Tavern on holding their nerve to secure a hard-fought one-goal victory and claim the 2026 A Grade title! 👏

A big ups to Bay Fitness for an outstanding performance and never giving in. Both teams put on a fantastic display of skill, determination and sportsmanship, making for a fitting finale to the season.

Thank you to our umpires, volunteers, supporters and everyone who has been part of another fantastic Golden Bay Netball season. We couldn’t do it without you. 💚🏐
