With our AGM tonight at the clubrooms starting 6:30pm, we need members to come along as it is your club and the committee needs to know how you would like your club run. Currently our President Steph, Anne our finance officer, Angela our area delegate, Marjolein, Elaine, Carolynn, Vanessa our secretary, Bella and Betty are the riders on the committee. With the loss of the organisation that sets up and takes our arenas down for our shows, we need members to step up and help more to keep our show costs down. Other jobs like club room cleaning, catering etc also need members to do some work otherwise we will have to pay and with dropping entry numbers at events we could easily start to run at a loss.
PLEASE come along and join the committee so we know the direction of how you want the club to grow and continue to deliver events you want and how they are run. Our meetings are done online and rarely go over 1.5 hours once a month on a Tuesday. As a member, people need to step up and help our club grow. With the council making changes to our grounds, and surrounding land being developed, we need to prove to council we deserve to have use of the sports grounds. So come along with your ideas and join in. Bring a plate and share your ideas and put some thought into how you can step up to make this a top club that more people want to join!
