What a fantastic day on the greens! ⛳️

Congratulations to Marthy Bantilan for taking out Best Net in his division, and to Andrew Capistrano for securing 2nd Best Net in his—an outstanding effort from both! 👏

The Aoraki Filipino Golf Club was proudly represented throughout the tournament, showing both skill and strong camaraderie.

A special mention to Papo Dayao for an incredible shot—he was right in contention for Closest to the Pin, missing it by the slightest of margins. So close, yet such a brilliant effort! 🔥

This was all part of the recently concluded Te Waipounamu Māori Golf Tournament, held at the historic Russley Golf Club, Christchurch—a truly memorable event filled with great competition, culture, and sportsmanship.

Proud moments all around. On to the next one!

We chose Aoraki because it represents the South Island we now call home — standing tall, calm, and respected. Just like golf, it reminds us to be grounded, patient, and respectful of the land and the people around us.

As Filipinos, we bring with us our warmth, bayanihan spirit, and love for community.
As golfers, we share a passion for the game, learning, and enjoying the journey — not just the scorecard.
