The PRC

The PRC The PRC have celebrated over 20 years of sporting greatness in the Canterbury Region. Founding members Keith McColl and David Wells are still active today.

The PRC ( commonly referred to as the Plantation Runners Club but sometimes also the Plantation Riders Club - depending on the event we are doing) was originally founded by Keith McColl and David Wells.back in the late 80's. The core of the team is made up of Harcourts employees and contractors but occasionally a token outsider is added to the ranks from more diverse backgrounds. The Sunday runs a

re usually commenced in the wee small hours prior to family and partners rising. The run has traditionally been held at the Burwood Plantation but every now and then we add in Harry Ell, Rapaki Track and even some more exotic locations like Akaroa, Orton Bradley, Capt. Thomas , Sign of the Bellbird to name a few. There are annual awards, regular adventures, road trips and the occassional court sessions . Our runs are entertaining with our Patron , Mr David Wells narrating long well constructed stories of his adventures usually ending in how he narrowly escaped arrest or death. Our left leaning leader Nev has risen quickly through the ranks and no-one can exactly recall how he gained the leadership but he assures us it was a democratic vote.We suspect it was a Stalin like election but none of the members feel strongly enough to challenge his excellency , the President.
