Zoom Resources is now closed.
After 32 years of importing and distributing specialist parts for RC Model cars we have decided to close.
Distributorship for our famous brands: Xray, Serpent, Hudy, FX Engines, Xceed, KO Propo and others has been transferred to One 7 RC Ltd who are now the official importer for these products. One 7 RC have all our stock so should you need a kit or spares for your RC car please contact One 7 RC at: [email protected]

Update..Zoom will be closed for rest of week. I will come in from 6pm to 7.30 pm on thursday night this week. Trevs had mri and has another appt with specialist to try and sort back issue. Cheers Nurse Bev

Have received two orders this week: Serpent and Xray/Hudy.
We have got Serpent GTe kits back in stock and today we received latest Xray XB8 buggy. Also so received limited qty of FX 3 port buggy engine with tuned pipe combo.
Despite increasing factory pricing and soaring freight costs we have kept our prices as low as possible.

Xray are inviting 1/0 On Road drivers who are keen to visit their factory & race track facility to enter the EC series
I doubt many Kiwis will be travelling to Europe so soon, but hey in case you will then why not consider entering the event & meet up with some of the best drivers.

I checked the differences between XB8 2021 & the new XB8 2022 1/8 Nitro buggy, they are:
353514-K Front Forward Mount Wing
353525 Wing Mount Front Forward
353054 Graphite Rear Shock Tower, I think this is same shape as 2021 Alloy version 353053
352244-H Steering Block PB Hard Plastic x2
353354-H Rear Uprights Hard Plastic x2
354090 Ball Shaped Brake Bushing
335581 Coil Spring for Brake, replaces fuel tubing on brake linkage

Performance difference between 2021 parts & 2022 on our typical low grip tracks is worth discussing. For example harder plastic uprights & steering blocks are great for hot temperatures (above 30') but maybe the medium compound versions which are included in 2021 kits are more suitable for lower temperatures. Keen to hear your thoughts on this as well Graphite versus Alloy shock towers.

Xray have released the latest 2022 version of their XB8 1/8 Buggy platform. There are very few changes from the 2021 version so I am ordering the small quantity of parts to enable you to upgrade to 2022 version. Let me know if you are keen on an upgrade package.
