Wheelchair Rugby is a full contact, full on exciting sport. Played indoors on basketball courts in specially designed chairs. The Canterbury team practices at Mairehau Highschool on Tuesdays and Thurdays from 6pm if anyone would like to come down and check it out. Great weekend for the Canterbury Chargers at WRC 2 in Wellington!
We're proud to come home with 2nd Place and 3rd Place after a weekend of tough competition. Every athlete and staff member put in a huge effort, and the results are something everyone should be proud of.

It was awesome to see so many teams from around New Zealand competing. The sport continues to grow, and it's exciting to be a part of that journey.

A big thank you to all of our athletes, coaches, support staff, volunteers, and everyone who helped over the weekend. We also want to thank our sponsors and funders for your continued support. We couldn't do it without you.

We wish both our Canterbury Red and Canterbury Black teams the very best as they represent our region with pride, determination, and teamwork.
