Good overcast morning for the s***t not may shooters with 2 possibles

The afternoon was a bit wet which made shooting a bit contentious, but we soldiered thru with some alright score
Good to see all the school shooters there to get some more practice in for the NZ secondary champs at the end of September
And again, some alright scores considering the conditions

What a great day for our second novice shoot On Sunday

17 people turned up, and we ran two traps again—one with straight-away targets and the other with oscillating targets. We had five new shooters join us, who brought their own guns, along with two returning shooters. We set the returning shooters on the oscillating field.

A few of the new shooters had been shooting hand-loaded shells, and they said the speeds felt a bit quicker—and because we stand further back on that field, it definitely made for an interesting challenge.

The other 10 shooters were on the beginners’ trap, and with a bit of coaching they thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

All in all, it was another great day—well done everyone!

Hey everyone don’t forget about our Clay Target Shooting for New Shooters this Sunday
To encourage new members and introduce more people to the sport, we are starting a monthly practice shoot for beginners, novice shooters, and anyone interested in giving clay target shooting a try.
No fi****ms licence is required to participate, as full supervision will be provided. New shooters will receive an introduction to the sport, safety instruction, and basic coaching.
Costs
5 targets for $2.00
Please bring your own $2.00 coins if possible.(cash only)

Available for purchase at $18.00 per packet (25 rounds).
A fi****ms licence is required to purchase am******on.
New shooters without a fi****ms licence are welcome to use am******on under supervision during the session. Any unused rounds must remain at the club and cannot be taken away.

Club fi****ms can be made available for visitors who would like to try the sport.
When
First Sunday of every month
10:00 am – 12:00 pm
Starting 2 August
If you know someone who would like to give clay target shooting a go, bring them along or pass this information on to them.
There will also be an opportunity for existing club members to get some extra practice.

Join us this Friday night at the Canterbury Clay Target Club for our trial night shoot under lights!

⏰ Squadding closes: 6:30 pm

We'll be shooting 25-target Points Score matches under the lights—a great chance to experience something a little different at the club and enjoy an evening of clay target shooting.

Open to all NZCTA Affiliated licenced shooters only. Come along and be part of the trial.
