Quickie Events

My other little company Evil Streams is livestreaming Emma Timmis - Athlete world record breaking attempt of 'Greatest distance on treadmill in 48 hours'. She started 7am on Friday, finishes 7am tomorrow (Sunday), and right now is digging DEEP.

Please check out the stream and leave Emma an encouraging message as she heads into the night. I think there's just under 60km to go!

A slightly long winded question for you!

Goodie bags - they're the bane of my Quickie Events existence. Expensive to produce, time consuming to contact potential sponsors (no one wants to give me anything anyway) & generally holding me up putting an event on.

BUT if I didn't offer them, would that deter you from entering a Quickie Event?? Lemme know 😊

How's everyone doing? I hope you're all OK out there and keeping safe/sane.

As you can imagine the CCC have bigger fish to fry than the new Quickie in the Quarry date, but rest assured, as soon as it's sorted I'll be letting you know. As for now, I'm doing online classes for nursing and it's quite a bit to get used to!

Kia ora all! I just heard from the mountain bike club and the owner of the land where the tracks are situated, that the ground conditions are too wet for A Quickie In The Quarry - Offroad Duathlon on Saturday the 21st August to go ahead I'm afraid. So I will have to postpone the event.

Even me backup tracks are too wet. So now I am looking at a new date late Spring. Stay tuned for that once it's locked in!

It's event month!! Holy hecka that came around fast. The A Quickie In The Quarry - Offroad Duathlon printing screen is being created as I type this, and I can't wait to screen print your event t-shirts!

Side note (and I'll update you on this closer to race day), if the mountain bike tracks are too wet, we won't be allowed to use them, so I'll be plotting a backup course for the bike stage. Apologies in advance if this does happen, we'll just have to deal with it. Can't do much about the weather!
