🔥 8 WEEK TRANSFORMATION 🔥

Up next from our 8 Week Challenge is Shyloe Ioane ❤️

Shyloe returned to HCC four months after having her fourth pēpi, feeling low, uncomfortable and unfit. Six months later, her journey has been pretty incredible — and these eight weeks have been another massive part of it.

*Total cm lost shown in our challenge results is the combined measurement lost across the hips, waist and chest.

We'll let Shyloe tell you about it in her own words…

“Coming back to HCC after my 4th baby was always a decision I was going to make.

I messaged Manu four months postpartum and mentioned how low, uncomfortable and unfit I was feeling after bubba.

Manu replied, ‘We are here for you when you're ready to come back sis.'

That was all I needed to hear and I re-signed my contract the next day.

So far on my postpartum journey I've lost 34kg, with 27kg of that lost with the help of HCC and my meal plans over the past six months.

During the 8 Week Challenge I lost 10.3kg, dropped two dress sizes and my measurements went down significantly overall.

But I've also made life-changing habits with my nutrition that I know are going to stick moving forward.

Fit2Go makes it easy to track my meals and progress. It's great for beginners who need help with meal planning and even does your grocery shopping list for you. How convenient! 😂

My fitness and strength have improved so much. I feel fit and strong again, which was something I worried I might not regain after my fourth baby.

This challenge has shown me how resilient and disciplined I can be.

My coaches have been so supportive, giving me alternative exercises while I worked my way back towards my pre-baby strength and fitness. Once they know you're capable and it's safe, they'll push you because they believe you can do more and SEE that you can push beyond where you are now.

Around week three of the challenge I noticed I'd levelled up so much with my strength and fitness.

It made me feel so proud.

The choice to train at HCC is a no-brainer. Awesome coaches, an amazing supportive community, cultures of all kinds, vibes on vibes with the music and banter — BUT we still put in the mahi and get the workouts done.

I love attending the 10am classes with ‘the mums crew’. The baby play area is an absolute blessing. I don't think I could attend classes with my pēpi if that wasn't available.

Our trainers also go over and above with our babies if they need to be held or have cuddles during a session.

This challenge has helped me regain the confidence I used to have pre-baby. I'm fitting clothes I had tucked away at the back of the wardrobe hoping I'd fit again, and I've set in stone realistic eating habits I know I can sustain long term.

No crash diet kōrero. We're here for progress, not perfection — small wins daily from our consistency and discipline.

My advice to any postpartum mama, or anyone looking to reset their hauora journey and become a fitter, stronger and healthier version of YOU — not only for yourself but for your bloodline — is come and see!!

HCC is the place to be. The tautoko, aroha and manaakitanga is unmatched. We are whānau.

Thank you Corey, Manu and all our coaches at HCC for this beautiful gym we call our second home.”

🔥 8 WEEK TRANSFORMATION 🔥

Next up from our 8 Week Challenge is Joy Latu ❤️

For Joy, these eight weeks weren't just about getting fitter or changing what she ate. Her biggest reason was her whānau and being able to show up more for her kids.

Eight weeks later, some of the changes she started for the challenge are now becoming part of everyday life.

📈Total cm lost shown in our results is the combined measurement lost across the waist, hips and chest areas.

We'll let Joy tell you about it in her own words…

“Throughout the 8 Week Challenge I've seen a lot of changes in myself.

My fitness is a lot better now than it was in week one and my eating habits have changed. It's now become a lifestyle change for me personally.

Showing up a lot more for my kids was the main purpose. I really enjoyed the eight weeks.

My accountability partner was one of the main reasons for me coming and turning up every day. But when she was busy with her family, the support wasn't only from the coaches, it was from everyone else in the gym, new or old.

The vibes were always welcoming 💯 and that's why I'll always turn up regardless.

Fit2Go was honestly one of the best things for me during this challenge. Not only did it give me great healthy food choices, it also got me eating on time. The app is really easy to use too everything is pretty much straightforward.

My eating habits were probably my biggest problem before, and now thanks to Fit2Go I've been able to enjoy my food and stay fuller for longer.

I didn't really have any major obstacles during the challenge. I was open to everything… other than my back always being sore lol 😂

HCC is special to me because everyone is welcoming and supportive. The coaches always cater to you no matter what. If you can't do something, they got you ALWAYS 💯

And a bonus for me is being able to bring my kids with me 😍

Moving forward, I'm going to keep the same routine. Gym every day unless I've got something on with my family, and I'll keep using the meal plans in the app because they work perfectly for me.

If you're sitting there scared to join…

Just please join.

I'm telling you, if it can change my life, it can change yours too 💯”

🔥 8 WEEK TRANSFORMATION 🔥

Next up from our 8 Week Challenge is Ngāwai Johnston ❤️

Ngāwai is no stranger to HCC challenges, but this one hit a little differently. She came into it already training consistently — this time it was about challenging herself in other areas, learning more about her nutrition and having someone beside her through the whole journey.

We'll let Ngāwai tell you about it in her own words…

“My journey throughout the challenge felt different this time around.

I've done a couple of 6 Week Challenges and a 28 Day Reset, but this one felt different from the start. It felt like I really needed it this time, which made me look at it differently and challenge myself a little more to stay true to it.

One of the changes I noticed was that **I do have the ability to do the best for myself, and what I thought was the best for me before has now been improved.**

Training consistently wasn't really the challenge for me — I already do that. What I noticed more was how I was able to show up for others.

The chats through DMs afterwards, encouraging others and hyping people up. That's what our gym is anyway, but there were definitely some contenders who just quietly did their thing, so being able to hype them up felt so, so good!

Nutrition tracking through Fit2Go helped heaps. It's helped me understand my macros better and now I'm in a position where I can continue with those habits.

One of the harder parts was learning how to make it all work around normal life.

Work is hard because wānanga = kai 😂 and family commitments are hard because whānau time together usually = kai.

Learning to adapt in those spaces so I could still be present but stay true to the kaupapa was hard. Then being sick in the final week absolutely sent me over the edge — I was piiiissssed hahaha.

Probably the biggest difference for me this time though was having **Tina as my accountability buddy.**

We checked in daily — usually multiple times a day — keeping each other on track, supporting each other when things didn't go our way, resetting goals and refocusing on what we were trying to achieve.

When we had questions, we reached out. When we had wins, we celebrated each other. When we wanted to talk about absolutely nothing, we did that too 😂

I've gained such an incredible friendship through this challenge.

Find someone who can support you throughout and you'll move mountains.

And that's what makes HCC what it is for me too.

The people keep me coming back — the coaches and the people who train alongside you. Everyone there wants to see you succeed and be the best version of you.

They already see the best version of you — even if you don't see it yourself.

They see your potential, they see your wins, they see your struggles and they're still there being your biggest cheerleaders.

I've said it before and I'll continue singing it from the roof…

There's nowhere else that can compare.

Moving forward, I'll continue with my macros and adjust them when needed. I might not have dropped a massive amount of weight, but averaging around 400g per week is sustainable and maintainable — and I haven't lost any strength.

So that's what I'm taking forward.

Stay prepped. Know what I'm having for 3–4 days worth of kai. Track my kai. And keep lifting big girl tings. 👏🏽”

🔥 8 WEEK TRANSFORMATION 🔥

Next up from our 8 Week Challenge is Dylan Walls ❤️

Dylan came into this challenge nervous and self-conscious about even stepping into a gym. Then, just two weeks in, he tore his calf — something he admits might once have been the perfect excuse to stop.

But he didn't.

We'll let Dylan tell you about it in his own words…

“As someone who has always been nervous and self-conscious about going to a gym, I didn't feel any of that here.

From the trainers to the other challengers, there was a great supportive atmosphere and such a positive vibe. After the first few sessions, I felt really comfortable and like I belonged.

The biggest obstacle came pretty early on. At the start of week two, I tore my calf muscle during a warm-up.

Before I left to get it checked out, Corey came up to me and said, *‘Don't let this get you down, brother. If you can make it in, we will find you something to do so you can keep going.'*

In the past, that might have been the thing I took as an easy out.

But I was back in the gym two days later with a compression bandage — and shortly after that, a moon boot!

Everyone was really supportive, especially the trainers. They gave me alternative exercises so I could keep moving and stay in the challenge. I wouldn't have got the results I did without their support.

The Fit2Go meal plans were a massive help too. I could spend a few hours prepping and have most of my meals for the week sorted. Knowing the food was there and ready meant staying on track and not giving in to cravings was way easier than it had been in the past.

After the first week of eating good, balanced kai, I noticed a big difference in my energy levels. I also stopped getting hungry and eating junk food late at night like I was before the challenge.

For me, though, it was a package deal.

The meal plans, being organised with my kai, the GT sessions, moving, using that energy and connecting with everybody — the combination of everything helped me get the results I did.

What makes HCC different is I've never felt like I didn't fit in or didn't belong.

At the end of every class everybody high-fives, acknowledges each other's effort and celebrates the wins along the way. The community and sense of connection were probably some of the key things that kept me coming back.

I loved that the focus on wellbeing wasn't just about what the scales said either. The daily accountability posts and reflections helped me stay focused and really notice the progress we were making along the way.

And I never thought I'd be planking on a coffin! 😂

I'm 110% more confident and comfortable in my body than I was at the start, and I don't think I would have found that at your average gym.

Moving forward, I'm going to keep being organised with my kai and definitely keep up with the GT sessions. Starting my day early with exercise is great for both my body and my brain, and it helps me start the day off right.

For anyone who's nervous about starting, I get it. I was terrified of going to a gym and had failed at trying other things in the past.

But give it a go, because **you will surprise yourself.**

Eight weeks ago, I never thought I'd be capable of some of the things I've done.

Do it because you are worth it, and the only person you have to prove anything to is yourself.

HCC will back you up no matter where you're at on your journey. It'll be fun, it'll be challenging, and if you keep showing up, you'll get results.”

🔥 8 WEEK TRANSFORMATION 🔥

Next up from our 8 Week Challenge is Hana Kakoi Silafai ❤️

Hana hadn't been with us long before deciding to jump into the challenge. She admits she was anxious about signing up, but eight weeks later she's stronger, fitter, more confident and well and truly locked into her hauora journey.

We'll let Hana tell you about it in her own words…

“I started the 8-week challenge not long after I joined HCC. I was anxious to sign up, but I was already seeing such great results from my few weeks at the gym that I decided, why not give it a go.

I have never felt so determined to complete a challenge, and I'm so proud of myself for giving it my all the whole way through.

My body has changed so much, my fitness and strength have increased, my self-confidence is on the rise and my mind has so much more clarity.

This has been the best kick-start to my hauora journey and I look forward to continuing to reach my goals.

Attending HCC classes played a huge role. Having an accountability partner was so helpful, as well as groups of gym friends to check in with daily. The coaches are the best I've ever had. So encouraging and consistently showing up for us all.

The Fit2Go meal plans helped me so much too. I could lock in my meals each Sunday based on what my week looked like — whether I was in the office, away for the kids' tournaments or travelling — and prep accordingly.

The meals were easy, time-efficient and delicious. They took the overthinking out of how I was going to fuel my body, and when I was hungry I already had options there for me.

The improvement in my nutrition is the biggest reason I have been so successful.

There were plenty of challenges along the way. Eating out, friends and family celebrations, netball season and the usual beers that come with it 😂 I became really mindful of my food choices and kept my alcohol to a minimum, which was massive for me.

I've made changes outside the gym too. My body clock now automatically wakes me at 5am. I'm going to bed earlier and sleeping heavier. I'm eating breakfast every day instead of surviving on coffee until later, and I'm no longer reliant on caffeine to get through my day.

What makes HCC special for me is **the people, the music and the culture.**

I love that I'm training with friends and that we now have a healthier outlet for spending time together instead of our usual get-togethers always revolving around food and alcohol.

Being in a gym where everyone is different shapes and sizes has helped me not feel so self-conscious when training.

I don't feel like I have to look a certain way like I have at other gyms in the past, and the encouragement from the team is unmatched with anything I've ever experienced.

Journaling and sharing my journey also became a big part of these eight weeks. I had multiple messages from people telling me I'd inspired them to start their own fitness journey or make healthier kai choices.

That was a massive win for me.

Moving forward, I'm excited to keep training, keep pushing my body outside of its comfort zone and continue fuelling myself with nutritious kai.

I'm ready to continue being locked in!

Thank you team from the bottom of my heart for all that you do to keep HCC running. I could not have improved my life this much without you.”

🔥 8 WEEK TRANSFORMATION 🔥

Next up from our 8 Week Challenge is Michaela Kingi ❤️

There are some pretty clear physical changes in these photos, but what we love about Michaela's journey is how much changed behind the scenes as well.

We'll let Michaela tell you about it in her own words…

“My journey throughout the challenge has been nothing short of rewarding.

The first couple of weeks were challenging. I struggled with sickness and sugar cravings, but I stayed strict with myself and focused on what my body needed to reach my goals rather than what I wanted in the moment.

Eating healthy and measuring my portions was difficult at first, but over time it became part of my normal routine.

I became more confident in the gym too. I started with weights I was comfortable with and gradually progressed to heavier weights. I challenged myself to use cardio machines I normally wouldn't have gone on, and the mini challenges pushed me outside of my comfort zone.

Through eating healthy and working out consistently, I've noticed a real difference in my body. I feel stronger, more confident and proud of the progress I've made.

One of my biggest changes has been my relationship with food.

I became so used to eating healthy that when I did have some of the foods I used to eat regularly, I noticed how they made me feel afterwards — sluggish, bloated, heavy and tired. It actually made it easier to choose healthier options.

The Fit2Go meal plans made the biggest difference to my results. One of my biggest challenges is not knowing what to cook, so having personalised meals that were easy, healthy and tasty made things so much easier.

I loved being able to see my calories, protein, fats and carbs through the app. Having everything planned took away the guesswork and saved me heaps of time when preparing for the week.

HCC played a massive role too. The coaches helped with my technique, encouraged me to push myself when they knew I was capable of more, and helped keep me accountable and consistent.

The people at HCC were a big part of that as well, especially my accountability partner pushing me and cheering me on.

To me, HCC isn't just a building with four walls and gym equipment, it's a community.

I love that HCC is somewhere you can be yourself without feeling judged. The encouragement, positive energy and sense of community make me actually want to show up and train. It doesn't feel like I'm just going to the gym; it feels like I'm part of something.

Moving forward, I'm going to keep showing up, getting stronger and fitter, and continue meal planning and prepping because I've realised how much easier it makes staying on track.

This challenge wasn't just about losing weight or changing my body. It was about changing my habits and creating a healthier lifestyle for myself.

If you're thinking about making a change but aren't sure where to start, just take that first step. You don't need to have everything figured out.

The hardest part is often just showing up, but once you do…

You'll realise you're capable of so much more than you thought.” ❤️
