The 2026 Rugby season is fast approaching.

We have our youngest team the Y2 Rippa Team The Diamond Dolphins playing at home this coming Saturday at 9am.

Followed by our oldest team the Blue Thunder playing at 10am taking on the Lincoln Black Wolves.

It would be lovely to see you come down and support our young players.

Our Year 4 Diamond Sharks are heading out to Springston Rugby Football Club Inc for a tackle clinic with all the 1st and 2nd season tackle players within the Ellesmere Rugby Sub Union to ensure our young juniors are all learning to tackle and be tackled safely. This is an important part of our futures stars rugby journey with safety being of the upmost importance.

Kia ora Rugby Whanau, and Diamond Harbour Community.

This Sunday morning the 2025 Crater Rim Ultra Marathon is set to start on the grounds of the Diamond Harbour Rugby Club. This is such a wonderful opportunity to showcase our beautiful part of paradise with approximately 280 runners setting off from the Rugby Grounds, going up Mt Herbert and then around the rim to Governors Bay, heading on to Lyttelton to end at Hansen Park near Opawa!! WOW it is a Epic event and we are very lucky to host them.

This is a bit of a public service announcement, especially to those of lower Waipapa Ave there will be racers arriving at the Rugby Club from approximately 5am, with the race starting at approximately 7am. The team at Crater Rim Ultra will have a drone operator filming the start of this epic race over the rugby grounds. They have consent from the Christchurch City Council and will adhere to all regulations, they just wanted the community to be aware that this will be happening.

If you happen to be up early come on down around 7ish to grab a coffee from The Coffee Shot Expresso and cheer on these amazing athletes.

All Blacks Vs. Wallabies this weekend. We’re finally back in action with a new projector, so we’ll have the game on at the club! Bledisloe Rugby!! 🏉 🏆
