OSCA Seasons update.
Hi all. 6 rounds of my first season in OSCA’s done and dusted and 3 years in with the Starlet.
Pretty happy overall and certainly the best season for the starlet with myself in the race seat. Personal Best times for the 4 tracks visited.
Good colour change this year with the curious blue sharpening the car up inside and out.
3rd in class GT4 for 6 rounds and finished inside top 10 overall. Had two class round wins form the 6 rounds. 23 races across the season finishing 19 of them, mechanical affected 3 with a broken diff and a minor crash that bent steering for one race.
I’m still learning a lot about turbos and waste gates, had a few lows with leaking and blown hoses but the positive next season should be well on top those issues, fingers crossed.
Aero has been worked on as well over the season, more to come in this space.
Very much enjoyed OSCA’s, meeting new drivers a good bunch of people. This was the first year on hard track where I didn’t have to worry about breakout times, a different way of thinking. Another big change was racing with the other GT classes where there is some very fast cars there was some close racing in class and a bit of watching the mirror and hold a cleaning line as GT2 and GT3 cars were racing their own races.
Bring on next season, planning a few changes still staying in GT4 but should bring me closer to the pointy end, will see how that goes…..
I must mention the support I have from my fiancée Jade is simply the best
