Halswell Hornets Rugby League Club Halswell Rugby League Club, Christchurch NZ. Established in 1960, the Halswell Rugby League Club has become the largest rugby league club in the South Island.

Over the years Halswell RLFC has produced many representative players, both national and international. This has been achieved through our desire to be the best.... The best coaching, the best facilities and the best support to help nurture our players and coaches so that they can achieve at the highest level. We are also a very family orientated club with one of the largest clubrooms in the South

Island. We have a dedicated playroom for the kids with playstations, TVs, air hockey, table soccer and much more. Halswell Rugby League offers:

Shout out to Tahemaka Nui and Hayden Thompson who are representing Canterbury Bulls in the South Island Premiership Tournament this weekend down at Ngā Puna Wai.

First game kicking off at 1130 today. So head down to Ngā Puna Wai to support the lads -great day for it. The second game kicks off at 3.30 then tomorrow a game at 10am.

Otherwise it is live streamed on Sky Sport.

Also out there putting in the hard yards is our very own Sam Kelso -Assistant Coach and Stacey Reriti-Team Manager

A massive thank you to Southern Demolition & Salvage Ltd and Watts & Hughes Construction Ltd for getting in behind two of our Nursery grade teams this season. Our Nursery tamariki are aged 3–5 years, so it’s pretty special to have this level of support behind them so early in their league journey.

Southern Demolition & Salvage Ltd have kindly kitted our tamariki out with their own backpacks. The kids are absolutely stoked with them and we know they’ll be proudly using them at the league grounds, at kura and everywhere in between.

We’d also like to acknowledge Watts & Hughes Construction Ltd for providing our two teams with training jackets and hoodies. The quality is awesome and these are something our tamariki will get plenty of use out of for years to come. The hoodies especially will be worn proudly all year round, with Watts & Hughes represented on the back wherever they go.

Support like this means a lot to our club, our whānau and most importantly our tamariki.

We’re incredibly grateful to both businesses for supporting our youngest players and helping make their season that little bit more special.
