🖤🤍 HAPPY FATHER’S DAY FROM THE ADDINGTON MAGPIES 🤍🖤

Today, we want to say a huge thank you to all of our amazing papa, dads, stepdads, kok, grandads, father figures, and whānau who support our Magpies week in and week out.

Thank you for the early mornings, the sideline support, the rides to trainings and games, the coaching, carrying gear, tying boots, cheering loudly, encouraging our tamariki and always being there.

Your time, love, and support mean everything in shaping lil people..

We hope all of our Magpie dads and father figures have an awesome Father’s Day surrounded by the people who appreciate you most.

Magpies 7s Team:

Season Wrap-Up 🖤🤍

On Saturday, our 7s team took the field for their final game of the season against the Northern Bulldogs.

Both teams put on an outstanding display of attack and defense, and although we dusnt come away with a win, our kids left everything out on the field 💪🏉

🏆 Player of the Day: Hone - for his huge impact on defence and for getting himself over the line to score a try!

💥 Tackler of the Day: Paikea - for his consistent effort and determination on defense throughout the game.

As we reflect on the season, the coaching and management team couldn’t be prouder of how far our kids have come.
From that very first game to now, every player has shown incredible growth, improvement, and determination.
It has been awesome to watch you develop both on and off the field, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds as we head into 8s next year.

A massive thank you to all our whānau for your continued support throughout the season, whether you were on the sideline cheering, helping out behind the scenes, or simply getting the kids to training and games.
It truly means a lot. ❤️

We can’t wait to see you all at Prizegiving!

Magpies 8s Team:

What a way to finish! 🤍🖤

Our U8s did an awesome job today against the Kaiapoi Bulldogs! They played hard right until the final whistle, with some great try saves, strong defence, and plenty of determination.

They never gave up and continued to work hard for each other. 💪🏽

What an awesome way to finish the season for an outstanding, hardworking team. We are so proud of every single one of you! 🖤🤍

A huge thank you to all our amazing parents, whānau and supporters, for getting behind the team all season. Your support means so much! 🫶🏽

The kids played an awesome game against a fantastic Halswell Hornets team. I am so proud of the effort, teamwork, and smiles out there today! 🏉

Magpies 7s Team:

Our 7s team took on Halswell Hornets.
Despite a chilly start to the morning, the kids showed incredible grit and determination right through to the final whistle.
It was a high scoring, action-packed game, with both teams battling hard, and we finished with a well-earned draw.

Player of the Day goes to Jhoel for his determination and outstanding engagement throughout the game.

Tackler of the Day goes to Hone, who put on a solid defensive performance with some great tackles.

A big thank you to everyone who came down to support and bring the kids along your presence means everything.

Next week is our final game of the season, so let’s all get down there and give it one last big push!
