SJJIF World Championships 2026 🏆🌍

We took a team of 16 x competitors, Eight Adults & Eight Kids, over to Tokyo-Japan 🇯🇵 to represent our club & country on the World Stage for Jiu Jitsu 🥋🌊🇳🇿

The team performed incredibly well against very strong competition, resulting in the club bringing a total of 15 x Medals back home to New Zealand:

The most successful international deployment in our clubs history 🔥

🔹Professor Kris CARSON - Winning Double Gold in the Blackbelt Masters No-Gi divisions.
🔹Hudson BOWATER - Winning Double Gold in the Kids Grey Belt Gi & No-Gi divisions.
🔹Brett HAWES - Winning Gold in the Bluebelt Masters No-Gi division, and defending his World Heavyweight Title from 2024.

Congratulations to both Ziphya & Noah on an incredible performance at the NZBJJF Oceania Kids Championships held in Auckland last weekend 🏆

Congratulations to all of our competitors that competed at the 2nd Edition of Submission Zone over the weekend here in Christchurch 👏

We had a small team of 12 x competitors representing the club across both Gi & No-Gi divisions 🌊

The team had an outstanding performance with everyone medalling in their respective divisions, and finishing with a win/loss ratio of 20 x wins & 11 x losses 📈

This resulted in the club winning Top Team & Top Affiliation Overall 🏆🏆

Congratulations & Well Done to all of our Oceanside athletes that competed up in Auckland this time last week at the SJJFNZ Open 🇳🇿🇳🇿🇳🇿

We took a small team of 9 x Competitors who competed across both Gi & No-Gi disciplines on the day 🥋🥷🏻

The team did OUTSTANDING with all of our competitors medaling, resulting in the Club finishing 5th Placed Team Overall out of 45 x Clubs, & being the #1 Ranked Team from the South Island & Affiliation 💯
Finishing with a total medal count of:

🥉x 2
And a positive Win/Loss ratio of:
25 x Wins & 11 x Loss 📈
