I can relate to this as both a teacher and participant. It is a lifelong journey. As a teacher we improve our teaching as we strengthen our connection to our clients and understand how they learn to use their bodies and how best to guide them.

England have named Olly Stone in the side to face Sri Lanka in the second Test and the pace bowler has revealed the role pilates has played in his comeback.
Stone, 30, played the last of his three Tests more than three years ago and he has since had surgery to have two screws inserted in his spine.
Overall, the Nottinghamshire man has had four stress fractures in his back, to go with an number of other significant injuries.
"Pilates has been a big thing alongside my gym stuff," Stone told BBC Sport.
"You don’t realise until you get in certain positions on the reformer that you’re probably not as strong as you might think. To work on that has been massive."

Our Story

I help people reclaim control of their bodies, to stand tall, move with ease and confidence, and keep on doing the things they love. Your body and mind need space. Stress compresses the body and restricts the mind. It is the action of self-care, giving love and kindness to one's self that sets you free.

Pilates teaches you that strength comes from within. You discover the power created by connecting your mind to the deep muscles located in your center. With focused concentration, you can engage these muscles with the slightest of contraction to gain control of your posture, breathing, and movement.

The difference is profound. You will instantly feel taller and decompressed. Shifting your attention inward to the spaces within your lungs, your spine, your core creates space within your mind free from external stressors.

I created Your Space Pilates to reach more people more often. Everyone needs some Pilates in their lives. One session a week is great for body maintenance, twice a week will really get you feeling strong and moving freely, three or more sessions a week will transform your body and mind.
