*WHO ARE WE*
Credo Ultimate Club is a Christchurch based Disc Ultimate Club that was founded in the early 2000s. Credo actively develops Ultimate for it's members and the wider community through regular squad training sessions, beginner-intermediate clinics, entering teams into local leagues and sending teams to compete in regional and national level tournaments. Our main focus is to actively prov

ide the opportunity for our players, coaches and administrators to develop in Ultimate and to reach their potential.


*OUR STRUCTURE*
We’ve worked hard over the last couple of months to work out the best way to structure the club, position ourselves to apply to become an incorporated society and to have a strategic plan that sets the clubs goals for the next two to four years. Once these are in place it will mean that we can run our own accounts, provide our members with improved resources over time, and gain credibility with external organisations which will be useful as our club grows.

*DIVISIONS*
We are viewing the NZ ultimate on-season as having two half-seasons, Mixed and Women’s/Open. This helps us to plan out the season as a whole club and work together. The Women’s/Open half-season has the ‘Credo Open Squad’ and the ‘Credo Women’s Squad’. We note that members of the club do not have to be involved in both half-seasons with Credo to be a member of the club. By having the three squads being part of the same club, it allows the values and the organisation for these different squads to be consistent.

*HISTORY
In the Mixed division it has been consistently the top performing Christchurch based side, most recently placing second at New Zealand Mixed Ultimate Champs (NZMUC) in 2015, and taking the championship in 2014. In 2016 Credo Mixed came 5th after a tough battle in the quarter finals. Although the end result was not what was anticipated for the team as the standard of Ultimate from the team was very high

In the Women’s division, the Chch Chicks placed first at Nationals 2017 granting them a bid to play at World Ultimate Club Championships in Ohio, USA in July 2018. The men’s team Dogma, came second and won spirit too at Nationals 2017. After nationals, Chch Chicks won spirit at Australia Nationals 2017.

*TOURNAMENTS*
Credo will host the Otautahi Classic (formally known as the Garden City Classic). This will take place in November. Credo Ultimate Club has also partnered with Canterbury Ultimate to deliver the 'Chalice City Classic', the third and final tournament in the NZU Summer Series.

Tonight we had the final of our Sunday Sixes league! 6️⃣👑 This year we decided to go for a Kings and Queens style league with 11 games over 6 weeks!

CREDO & AXIOM EOI 2026

It's EOI time for Credo and Axiom's 2026 mixed season! If you'd like to play with us, please fill out this EOI by Friday 3rd July.

We're running two selection dates, on the 4th and 18th July. We expect players to attend both events, though we understand some uni students may be out of town for the first selection event.

Please reach out to any of our pre-season leadership group if you have questions. Lucas Tey for Axiom, and Finn, Te Atawhai, Ellen S, Oskar, or Steven for Credo.

CREDO AGM 2026

Credo Ultimate's 2026 Annual General Meeting will be held on Sunday 28th June, starting around 6:30pm at English Park after Sixes league has finished. We will set up a google meeting (to be posted in comments below) for anyone wishing to attend online, and will order some PIZZA for everyone who joins us in person 🍕

High level agenda:
- Put in the pizza order!!
- Approval of previous AGM/SGM minutes
- President's report
- Treasurer's report
- General Q&A and discussion session. Including but not limited to club membership criteria, mixed club structure, team naming/jerseys, coaches, general club direction & priorities.
- Executive position nominations
- Voting
- General business

All exec roles are open for election, and nominations can be made either before or at the meeting itself. This includes the president, treasurer, secretary, up to three general members, and additional observers. This AGM, it is proposed that the three general members take informal responsibility for specific aspects of club operations. The intention is that they will lead this work with support of the wider exec. The six positions up for election are:
- President
- Treasurer
- Secretary
- General member (social media)
- General member (tournament organisation)
- General member (grant funding)

Introducing our Otākaro squad for the 2026 season! 🛶🏞️

We are stoked that both Thalweg and Punters qualified for Div 1 and we can't wait to see our teams tear it up on pitch at the National Championships in Wellington from March 27–29.

The lads are looking sharp, competitive, and ready to challenge, and it’s exciting to see the depth of talent across the squads this year.

A big thank you to the team leaders and organisers who have worked hard to bring everything together and get the teams ready for the tournament.

Introducing our CANNONS squad for the 2026 season! 💣 🔥

This team is full of energy and talent, and we’re excited to see them compete at the Div 1 National Championships in Wellington, March 27–29.

A massive thanks goes to the leaders and coaches behind the scenes who have been putting in the time and effort to get this squad prepared for the season ahead. As well as the mentioned coaches and captains that's our manager Jess Jenkins, social officers Kiara Chin and Michelle Lee, our PRO Tori Bailey and our warm up captain Sarah Valentine!

Introducing our Phoenix squad for the 2026 season! 🦜🔥

This group has been putting in the work and is looking strong, focused, and ready to compete.

Phoenix will be competing at the Div 2 National Championships in Christchurch on March 21–22, and we can’t wait to see what they bring to the pitch!

A huge shoutout to the coaches have done an incredible job preparing this team and building such a positive environment heading into nationals.

Chalice City Classic 2026 💙

Credo Club were delighted to host the Open and Women's Southern Qualifiers in Bob Dean's Fields on the 14th & 15th of February. With 7 teams in the Open division and 4 teams in women's it was a chock full weekend of frisbee!

Congratulations to .ulti and who won their respective divisions after two very exciting finals against and A ⭐

Well done to and OaF for winning Spirit of the Game!

Thanks to all for coming down, and big thanks to CU for their help on the day. Sorry to anyone who got grounded! And well done to those who qualified for nationals!
