🏆 Cotswold A goes all the way!
A massive congratulations to the Cotswold A football team, who finished on top at the Y5/Y6 Zone Winter Tournament on Thursday!
It was hot, hot, hot - but the team were on fire 🔥 Winning every game saw them progress through to the Canterbury Winter Tournament on 17 September.
With 7-minute halves and just 2 minutes between halves and games, it was fast and furious. There was no time to muck around! Quick changeovers, plenty of water and incredible focus saw the kids stay determined right through to the final whistle.
The semi-final against a very competitive Roydvale School was a real test. A brilliant goal from Arlen sent them into the final against Westburn.
Knowing only one team would progress, they approached the final like it was the World Cup! Goals from Arlen and Noah secured the win, and the celebrations when the whistle blew were epic! 🙌
Across six games, the team scored an impressive 17 goals, along with countless assists, tackles and passes. More importantly, they had fun, showed great teamwork and lived the Cotswold values. The smiles were huge from start to finish!
And of course, a huge thank you to all the parents who came along to support the team and keep those water bottles filled.
