2013 ON THIS DAY (read below)

- Thought my thighs were to big to wear shorts

- Based my self worth on how I looked

- Size 8, 56kg and still trying to lose more fat

- Life was based around food, what time my next meal was and what I was eating

- Deep In the yo-yo dieting cycle of restrictions and binging

- Exercised 7 days per week out of hate for my body and trying to shrink myself

- Confidence came from being lean

FAST FORWARD TO NOW

- Currently 80kg (pre baby 60kg) and feel f*cking fantastic

- Proudly wear whatever I like with confidence, including walking down the beach in a bikini

- I understand proper nutrition and food doesn’t control my life anymore, no diets, no tracking foods, no restrictions

- Exercise for the love and excitement of what my body can do

- Have created inner confidence that doesn’t change even when my body changes

The body, the money, the job, the relationships, the “best life” but your inside is saying your not good enough, worthy enough, cool enough, smart enough etc.

CONFIDENCE, THIS IS WHAT I RECKON 👇🏽

It’s about being so dam comfortable in your own skin that you don’t give a f*** when it changes

It’s about feeling so content with who you are you don’t have to “embrace your flaws” because you see everything as parts of you.

It’s about showing up unapologetically just how you are even when others around you might not get it.

It’s about not caring what everyone else is up to because you are to busy doing all the things that you want in life.

Have you thought about how much of your life you have wasted thinking about diets, thinking about loosing weight, thinking you’re not enough just as you are?

This came to mind other day after calling my friend out when she said something negative about herself. 💁🏼‍♀️

THIS IS A BIG PROBLEM.... When we listen to our friends, family or anyone we know talk like that without calling them out we are encouraging the behaviour and continuing this cycle which can be so common with women/girls.

I want to live in a world where we have meaningful empowering conversations, not conversations about diets, looks and weight!

So it starts with me, calling out people when I hear them talking that way AND bringing that awareness to you, so you can do the same!
