Day three action for New Zealand at the 2026 Pilsen World Boccia Challenger in the Czech Republic. Hamish, Chloe and Matt were all well beaten today by their opponents. No action for the team tomorrow, other than a late afternoon BC1/2 Team training session.

Day two action for New Zealand at the 2026 Pilsen World Boccia Challenger in the Czech Republic. Hamish Cleary fought hard in the opening round of the day before losing 1-3 to his opponent from Kosovo. Matt Whiting had his first game against a player from Cyprus and came back from losing the first end to win 8-3. In his second game he was well beaten by his Israeli opponent and lost 0-12. Chloe Sturt came up against a player from Kazakhstan who was playing with amazing accuracy. Chloe was good enough to win two ends, but ended up losing 3-7.

Day one action for New Zealand at the 2026 Pilsen World Boccia Challenger in the Czech Republic. Chloe Sturt started well, but eventually lost 2-3 to her Slovakian opponent. Only losing a the final end by half a centimeter. Hamish Cleary scrapped hard after losing 5 points in his first end, but lost 3-6 to his Slovenian opponent. Full draw and results can be found here;

After long journey (via Singapore, Munich and Prague), the NZ Boccia Team has settled into life in the Czech Republic, at the 2026 Pilsen World Boccia Challenger. Today was a morning of sightseeing and a tour of the Pilsner Brewery before an evening training session at the venue. Another training day tomorrow before competition begins on Wednesday.
