Hi guys, update for our final 2 meetings of the season.

Friday Salute to Goodie
2 heats, front and a back start. Heat 1 started 9 finished 8th.
Heat 2 started 1 dropped a couple of spots which put us 8th in feature. Started reasonably well until the motor dropped a couple of cylinders so I pulled in to save ourselves from any damage.

Saturday Gold Cup
After a late night Friday and a busy Saturday morning working on the car managed to get it running at 1.30, just in time to load up and head back to the track. Heat points carried over from Friday night which gave us 2 mid pack starts. Super fast track, had us finish mid pack in our heats. Started 8th again in the 30 lap feature. Started tentatively, when the first yellow came out we found ourselves in 13th spot. After the restart we started hauling in the cars in front of us. The car was super fast and drove well anywhere we went on the track, by the end of the 30 laps we'd worked our way up to 6th. Super stoked with the result as the top 3 cars were international drivers. Great way to finish the season.

Now the seasons finished and we're starting on the car rebuild it's time to acknowledge our amazing sponsors again.

It was a night to forget for the team last weekend.

Double header was rained off on Friday resulting in us only racing on Saturday.
After a massive dumping of rain during the week, the track was extremely challenging to say the least.
The format was 3 heats and a feature. Heat 1 started at the back, struggled with the conditions the whole race and setup wasn't where we needed it to be.
Heat 2 started off the front, after making some drastic changes to the setup we got away to a flyer. Pulled away to a decent lead for most of the race. Second heat hoodoo again, as we got cleaned up by a car trying to pass us with 2 laps to go. Resulting in a DNF and a bit of damage to the front end.
Heat 3 after some running repairs, was a good race we picked up a couple of spots for a reasonable finish.
As a result of our DNF we qualified at the back of the feature. Picked off a couple of cars in the first few laps, going well until a car spun in front of us, nowhere to go.
Ended up on our roof sustained reasonable damage which ended our night. Overall it was a pretty disappointing outing. Hopefully 10th & 11th of April (final weekend) Gold Cup and Sulute to Goodie we'll have some good luck!!
Busy week ahead in the garage, the car might look a bit second hand 🤣 but we'll have it ready come race day.

Thanks to all our sponsors for their continued support.

Hi guys, after a disappointing outing at Ellesmere, we raced for the War of the Wings final last Saturday night. Started the meeting off on the right foot, with a top 5 finish in the time trials. That put us with a start p7 and a p4 in the heats. First heat Started 7th, tyre bleeder stopped working and made the drive very difficult we dropped a spot and finished 8th. Heat 2 started 4, pretty happy with the race finish 4.
That put us off 8 in the feature, the biggest feature race of the season over 30 laps. Got into our groove early, put in some fast consistent laps. Really enjoyed the race, once again the yellow was not our friend but still managed a top 10 finish. Was aiming for a top 5 finish in War of the Wings standings missing out by 5 points finishing 6th.
The teams wrapped to finish 6th racing our first season in this grade. The seasons starting to wind down now with 4 meetings left for us, being 2 double headers in chch 27th&28th March and final meet is the weekend after Easter

Thanks to all of our great sponsors and supporters

Update for the last three meetings

Sat 7th Feb

Heat 1 p6 ➡️ p6
Heat 2 p7 ➡️ p6
Feature p8 ➡️ DNF

War of the Wings Saturday night with a good field of 17 cars. We time trialed coming in 14th fastest giving us 2 mid pack starts for the heats. Heat 1 we raced well on a hooked up track finishing where we started. Heat 2 started at a similar position, managing to pick up 1 spot through the race this qualified us 8th for the feature. Tightened up the car as the track had slickened off quite substantially. We got racing well in the first part of the race getting up to 7th, until the yellow came out. On the restart we dropped a couple of positions, we got battling with a couple of cars, managed to get clear of 1 and set our sights on the next who we traded sliders with for a lap or 2 until unfortunately we ran out of real-estate trying to pass around the outside resulting in our front wing being damaged and the officials making the call that the car was unable to carry on resulting in a DNF.
Overall happy with the weekend despite the feature being cut short.

Friday 13 Feb
Heat 1 p2➡️p4
Heat 2 p8➡️p6
Feature p8➡️p8

Friday night Blenheim war of the Wings a smaller field with only 12 traveling. We qualified poorly putting ourselves on the back foot from the get go, coming in 10th giving us front row and back row grids. Heat 1 started off the front row and the pace setter got a fantastic jump on us, we held 2nd for a couple of laps but our setup was off and we fell back a couple of spots to 4th which is where we finished.
Heat 2 started from the back and needed to make as many spots as possible, unfortunately track conditions weren't ideal and we only managed to pick up 2 spots.
Feature race started 8th once again, we got off to not a bad start, slotting ourselves into the position we started. We ran there all race.
Was cool to click off a new track in the sprintcar but was a shame the track is so narrow and 1 lane making passing almost impossible.

Sat 14th Feb
Heat 1 p8➡️p6
Heat 2 p1➡️p2
Feature p8➡️p9

War of the Wings Nelson.
Another new track for us, unfortunately we had no hotlaps before qualifying and with it being an unusual, challenging little bull ring we qualified 10th despite missing our mark in turn 1 and 2 in both laps. Heat 1 started in our rear grid, managed to pick off a couple of spots feeling comfortable and hitting our marks as the race went on. Heat 2 unfortunately got caught sleeping at the start but settled into 2nd nicely and feel like we paced the leader nicely throughout the race. After our Heat races we qualified 8th for the feature ( we seem destined to start in 8th place lately). Off the start we initially lost a couple of spots but by lap 3 we'd made it back to 8th. The car felt really comfortable and we started to battle our way towards 7th position, showing our nose a little to early meant the car ahead took away our race line. With a few laps to go i made the fatal mistake of moving my wing back a fraction to far causing the car to get tight down the straight clipping the wall and dropping a spot, with 1 lap to go which we were unable to get back passed.

Over all a pretty successful weekend in a small but competitive field,we managed 2 top 10 finishes and managed to move up 1 spot in the over all War of the Wings standings.
Big thankyou to my crew and everyone who helps out. Thanks also to Landy and Ginnette for accommodating us throughout the weekend.

This weekend were are off to hazard county in Ellesmere for another round of the war of the wings. It’s always a great day out there so be sure to come along. Racing starts at 2:30pm on Saturday.

And as always to our sponsors

NZ champs night 2.
Arrived at the track feeling confident we could make the top 20 for the feature after a reasonably good first night. Our 4th heat we started at the front but drifted back a couple. With 1 heat remaining we just need a reasonable finish to make the top 16 finish but not to be... after being drilled in the first corner from a car behind us we unfortunately rolled the car and suffered significant damage ending our night. Pretty gutted to say the least.
Overall the champs was an enjoyable experience and we will take plenty from it.
The car is now home after being sent away for some chassis repairs so we will start piecing it all together for our next WOW meeting in Chch on 24th Jan.
A huge thankyou to all our supporters and as always our faithful sponsors

Morning, were all set up here at our accomodation with Connor Rangi Motorsport preparing for day 2 of the NZ Sprintcar Championship.

Yesterday was 3 heats. Today will be the final 2 heats plus a feature, Day 1 started 8 in heat 1, finished 7. Heat 2 started 9 and finished 7, heat 3 start 6 finish 6. Happy to have held our position and pick up a couple of spots here and there. We start further up the grid today so hoping for a couple of good runs. We're in 21st place at this stage so will look to improve on that and bank some good points.

Massive thank you to everyone who helps keep this team rolling.

Update from cromwell 29th traveled to Cromwell for their Xmas champs and another opportunity to get some laps on cromwell track with n.z champs being held there in two weeks time on the 9th and 10th of January good field of 22 cars. Heat one saw us finish 5 after starting 10. Heat two saw us start 3 managed to get to the front early had a good lead, best run we've had and managed to win the heat. That put us off 5 for the feature, holding our spot for first few laps untill we tried to avoid a two car tangle in front of me and clipped the wall resulting in a flat left rear endingnour race. Not a great finish to the evening but very happy with our progress. Was great to see three of our major sponsors at the track to support us .Grant Hood. /Grant Hood Contracting.
Steve Dryden/ DHS Wholesale.
Tony Ritchie / Ruataniwha camp ground.
We appreciate your support. Have decided not to run on the 1st we'll head home and get prepared for our next meeting which is the NZ nationals on the 9th and 10th January. Massive thanks to all our sponsors

Update from USA Invasion/ War of the Wings week 2.
We're very happy with two top ten feature finishes in very strong fields. Friday was a challenging evening with track being in far from ideal condition due to heavy rain the previous evening. Kept it clean in the heats and qualified in 12th for the feature. Had a good race, picked up a couple of spots and finished 10th.

Night 2, different day, completely different track. Heat races we struggled to get drive out of the track, still managed P15 for feature. Made some setup changes which made the car more drivey and after carrying good pace in the feature came 10th.
We now have 2 weeks off and then travel to Cromwell on 29th Dec for their Christmas meetings.

Massive thanks to everyone who helps keep this deal rolling

Hi all update from weekend in cromwell for the U.S.A invasion/war of the wings round 1 and 2 after a wet start to Fridays proceedings we finally got started at 7.30. Heat 1 started mid pack finished 11 heat 2 started at the back and finished there. This put us off p6 in the B main, got a great start through turn one looking to make a pass for second place and the gap closed resulting in contact and a D.N.F
After night ones B main incident unfortunately our steering box was locked solid, luckily we were able to source one at short notice and get it down from christchurch. Night 2 was a different story for us, we still struggled a little in the heats with a p9 start and finished 14th , heat 2 started 8th and finished 10th This put us off p8 in the B main. With the aim of making a pretty stacked A main for the weekend we needed a 5th place finish or better sitting in 6th place we made a pass around a couple of cars with a lap to go to secure 4th place and a spot in the feature. We started 19th in feature and had a really good race to come home in 14th position.

Big thank you to everyone that helped out getting us back on track and to all our great sponsors
