Important Announcement: Sporting Edge Indoor Centre Closure

To our wider community,

It’s with mixed emotions that we announce Sporting Edge Indoor Centre will be closing its doors as of Friday, 20th December 2024. The building’s owner has decided to sell the property, which means we’re unable to continue operating from this space.

We know this news may come as a shock, and we want to take a moment to acknowledge the role this venue has played for so many, whether as Howzat in the past or as Sporting Edge Indoor Centre over the past 4 years. This has been more than just a building; it’s been a place where teams have come together for sport, fun, and competition.

Our final day of games and training will be Thursday, 19th December 2024. Semi-finals will begin next week, with finals scheduled for the week of 16th December. To mark our last week, we’ll be running drink specials and celebrating the memories created here, everyone is welcome to join us.

We’ve also been in touch with Vicky and Steve at Action Indoor on Iversen Terrace. They’ve assured us there is room for teams wanting to continue playing, and they’re ready to help make that transition smooth.

We want to thank everyone who has supported Sporting Edge Indoor Centre over the years; teams, players, and supporters.

While this was not a decision we could control, we are incredibly proud of the community and experiences this space has fostered. We’re grateful to have been part of your sporting experiences and are proud of what this space has meant to so many.

Hi All, we were told this would be ready to go today, however unfortunately the driveway has been closed off again. The carpark will be unavailable, so please park on the street for tonight. Be careful when crossing the road and watch your step

Hi all, unfortunately due to Basik Transport renovating the driveway thry have blocked off the entry to our carpark and you will need to park on the road outside the venue. Very sorry for the inconvenience, we did not have prior notice of this.
