For the very first time, because of so many well deserving candidates we are having a second Dan grading for 2023
This weekend will be another very special time for our club with 3 more amazing humans being pushed to their limits physically and mentally over two days.
For the first time we have a candidate from our Marlborough family.
Ash is a Marlborough Goju Karate club original. His determination and heart over so many years has led him to this point. Ash trains with such effort and joy which is a perfect combination for success. And this weekend will be the culmination of all that effort over many years to reach this special goal.
Steve is one of hardest workers in our entire club. Every week, 4 days a week, he is there at the classes giving his all.
He pushes everyone around him by leading the way with his work ethic at training.
Steve’s amazing competitive spirit has been his best attribute at Karate right from the start. Weather that be completing with himself to make his Kata’s better or trying to keep up with his daughter Brianna in the warm ups. These things have had such a positive impact on Steve’s body and mind over the last 10 years.
Martin has become one of the leading instructors in our club over the last few years. After gaining his Sho Dan in 2018 Martin immediately then embraced the next chapter in his Karate career.
Stepping up his already impressive technical training and being a mentor for the next line of Sho Dans become his focus.
Martin has such a calm and intelligent way of teaching that he really speaks to a wide range of students. Giving kids and adults great skills and tips to keep improving themselves everyday.
