The power of choosing to stop where you are, to consciously choose to slow down in that moment to take a couple of breathes, to meditate, to sit in silence has incrediable power on the mind to bring you back to the present, to slow down the mind when when you start to over think what your to do list may look like for the new week.
Amongst a super busy weekend of sorting new uniforms, dinner party at ours, kids sleep over at ours, hearing Avatar on the screen, washing machine cycle, thinking about dinner - I choose to slow down, light a candle and be in the present with my breathe. Did it do wonders? It sure did, will my day be relaxing here on out?
There'll be mama requests, wife requests, coordinating another week of school holidays, organizing work lunches but it'll feel easier as I've slowed down.
Here's your reminder to slow down and bring yourself into the parent moment more often.
On another note, thanks to Zoe who bought me for xmas a plant 🪴 water cylinder, yes my plants stress me out, I try to keep them healthy and alive... such a challenge!
