TFS North Wellington Over 45s were the only undefeated team in their league this season, showing incredible consistency and resilience. Despite beating Tawa twice during the year, TFS narrowly missed out on winning the league due to three hard-fought draws.
As five-time champions, TFS had a target on their back all season. Opposing teams often stacked their lineups with extra players whenever they faced TFS, determined to end their dominance. Even under this intense pressure, TFS’s defence stood strong, conceding just 11 goals across 16 matches — a remarkable achievement that highlights their discipline and organisation.
While they didn’t lift the trophy this year, TFS North Wellington’s unbeaten record and ability to shut down heavily reinforced opponents prove why they remain the benchmark for excellence in the Over 45s league. Their performance this season reinforces their reputation as the true standard setters that every other team strives to match.
