This machine has always been a bit sh*t πŸ‘Ž

It's a tough one to get the feeling right, and even with tweaks to the original position to try get more glutes in their shortened range, hips going into extension (the intended purpose of this machine) my clients always finish their reps feeling it more in their quads.

So, today I decided to look at different set ups and found that this machine is actually better to target the glutes in their lengthened range. When hips are in flexion with a 90Β° angle at the knee πŸ‘Œ.

Give this position a go next time you find yourself on the glute kickback machine, and you can thank me later

Stop avoiding this exercise!

Split squats and lunges are a brilliant exercise to build lower body strength, and if you are not suffering from a knee, hip or ankle injury, they should be apart of your training routine.
