Members Highlight

This man here is a very good friend of mine and i have known for many years,
Rugby Mates, Work Mates, Flatmates and now coach and athlete

Over the years I've Seen him at his best and have also seen him at lowest

The one thing this man has over everyone else is,
Resilience, pushing though niggles and injuries, he is forever getting the work done.

He may not have the biggest lift compared to others but he is definitely the hardest worker in the room, on the field and off.

All while working 50+ hours and providing for his daughter

The girls in for their last few days of training before comp this weekend

12 weeks they have been going hard.
Lifting weights they never thought they could do

The biggest PB they have all had is one they haven't noticed themselves yet, and thats their confidence

From thinking they couldn't lift their body weight to now shifting double their body weight and walking tall.

Big day this Saturday, I'm super pumped to see what the girls and the rest the team can do 💪🏽💪🏽

This girl is getting stronger and stronger every week.

Sams pervious Deadlift was 120kg which she pulled 8-9 weeks a go

Here she is smashing 4 x 4 115kg

Sam is also competing at South Island Log and Deadlift on the 13th February, where I can't wait to see what she can do.

New Year New PB

My man Craig Cooper came to me leading up to canterbury's Strongest back in September

His previous Deadlift was 180kg
Last week we hit a 200kg x4

(The video is only 2 reps, cause I don't know how to push play🤦‍♂️)

In 4 weeks time he will be competing at South Island Log and Deadlift, where we will finally find what this lad can lift 💪

I have to take my hat off to these 3

Liam Gordon showed some exceptional strength and mana over the weekend, our goal was to complete each event, which we did, we knew this was going to he a tough comp, but Liam hit the ground running and showed everyone why he should be where he is now.

Taylor Keys, in 10 weeks this lad somehow managed to drop 15kg to get in to the U90 weight class, Taylor has only competed for exactly 1 year and he is already sitting top 5 in New Zealand for his weight class, give this boy 1 more year and things are going to end big for him

Katie Pitt was going up against one of New Zealands best female athletes for her class, Katie held her ground right to the end, starting off Strongman as this delicate little girl to now picking up cars and pulling trucks while throwing some rocks around she hasn't even scratched the potential of her strength

All 3 athletes showed class over the 2 days and each one of them took home something different on how they will come back better

As their coach i honestly couldn't have asked for a better performance from them and I loved every minute watching them do their thing 🙏

Awesome work team, back on the grind tomorrow 💪

What a awesome 10 weeks it has been coaching these guys, 6 days out from their first Nationals and they are ready.

I'm very excited for this weekend, just for the fact I get to compete with them as well as coach them

Liam, the youngest athlete to compete at a National level, will be showing why he is made for this sport.

Taylor has a lot of top athletes in his class and his goal is top 3 and with the way some of his events have been going thats a very achievable goal.

Katie is going up against one of New Zealands Strongest females, but we have a plan in place where that top spot is looking real nice.

But all in all the main goal is to have fun and we achieve that at every competition we turn up to.

Nerissa White

I've been working with Nerissa since the start of April, we were on track for about 3 months and unfortunately Nerissa had broken a rib, stopped her lifting heavy, so we took a rest and recovered, slowly started to build back upto those heavy lifts again

Tuesday we came away with a 10kg PB on her Squat, whats good about this PB is she is 10kg lighter in body weight

So here we have a 140kg Squat.
